Zen Casa blends minimalism and neoclassical feature to create a welcoming space for a family of five. By incorporating neoclassical feature like trims and moldings into minimalist spaces, the home achieves a subtle yet luxurious atmosphere while still feeling cozy and familiar. Using a soft, neutral color palette adds to the earthy and calming ambiance of the space.
The entrance sets the tone for the home’s design, offering a glimpse of what lies beyond. It features two shoe racks, one for visitors outside and one for family members inside, both crafted with MDF+PU coating. Decorative artwork and tinted mirrors in the lobby create a sense of spaciousness, complemented by minimal wall trims finished in PU coats.

The interconnected living and dining areas are intriguing spaces within the home. Predominantly white, these areas highlight wall and ceiling trims and moldings, achieving elegance without overwhelming. A unique free-standing TV unit, supported by an overhead beam, cleverly conceals wiring and switches while maximizing and concealing the storage under the staircase located just behind it.
By demolishing adjacent walls, the kitchen has been expanded into a larger space, featuring a C-shaped counter layout. This redesign accommodates essential amenities and additional utilities like a dishwasher and appliance storage, ensuring seamless connectivity to the outdoor lounge area. The redesigned kitchen ensures connectivity of the user in the kitchen directly to the living area and also maintains endless visual connectivity from the kitchen area to the outdoor lounge space making the new kitchen feel much larger and practical than the one before.
Transformed from a bedroom into a functional home office, the computer lounge is tailored for the family’s two brothers. Featuring a PC unit and a low-height L-shaped sofa for work and relaxation, its experimental use of rich blue paneling adds a distinctive touch, harmonizing with the overall aesthetic through carefully integrated trims.
Despite catering to individual preferences, all bedrooms share a cohesive design language. Master bedroom 1 boasts a luxurious backdrop of marble tiles, accented by curved MDF paneling and elegant wall trims, achieving a tranquil yet modern ambiance.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 maintain a minimalistic yet subtly neoclassical aesthetic, utilizing white to enhance spatial perception.
The project drew inspiration from a variety of sources, as it sought to seamlessly merge minimalism and neoclassical styles. Through in-depth research, including architectural magazines and social media, the team explored how these contrasting aesthetics could be effectively combined.
The project encountered numerous challenges, from site logistics to regulatory constraints. Distance from the city posed logistical hurdles, delaying team alignment and material deliveries. Society regulatory restrictions further impeded progress, requiring meticulous coordination and perseverance to overcome. Despite the intricate carpentry work and execution complexities, effective communication and determination ultimately ensured the successful realization of the project, enriching the team’s capabilities for future endeavors. We feel the deepest gratitude when we recall this project journey. Thankful to our clients who trusted us with this immensely wonderful yet demanding challenge.
