A private beach residence situated in a breathtaking location, nestled on a small enchanting land strip between the Arabian Sea and backwaters at Padukere, Udupi. The client desired a vacation beach home inspired by Balinese architecture and traditions, with a focus on maximising the stunning views.
Our aim was to capture the essence of Balinese ambiance, from the traditional entrance gate to the landscaping, water features, roof forms, and statues. To preserve authenticity, the designers imported many items from Bali. They used a natural palette of materials, including recycled wood, slate, and limestone, and they chose every element not only for its aesthetic appeal but also for its sustainability, reflecting a deep respect for the environment. The outcome was a seamless integration of textures and colors, creating a harmonious blend with the surrounding landscape.
