The living is a plush pallet of select pinks and pastels that fill the space rather effortlessly. While the formal seating reflects a fine urban setting, the quintessential swing is a dash of the vernacular Gujarati roots of the family as well as the region.
The wall artwork is tasteful and is representative of agility and movement – a wave of colours – which can be a metaphor for life itself! The colours and the artwork brings vibrancy while the ensemble of furniture and artefacts keeps the focus on experiences and moods.
The visual connection to the dining keeps the everyday livelier and more engaging for the occupants; and during busier days, offers spillover space for guests, family and friends who can all be a part of the same space without being forced to break into smaller groups.
The kitchen has a simple and open layout – keeping its visual connection and circulation with the dining efficient and intact. Dining becomes the de facto gathering space for any small, urban family – and this understated design language gives them a pleasant and homely feeling through the day.
The different rooms explore an overarching yet resplendent and adaptive design language. The minimalist design allows the rooms to be personable for the user without over prescription of unnecessary accessories and loose furniture.
The overall sedate tone of the pastels continues in the rooms; aligned and representative of the users of the respective rooms. Overall, this apartment reeks of the power of subtlety and chic design.
