These Twin Villas Blend Traditional Charm With Contemporary Sophistication | Shivay Associates
This twin-villas project is a thoughtfully designed hospitality retreat that seamlessly blends contemporary comfort with warm, Mediterranean-inspired architecture. The design language emphasizes soft arches, and earthy textures. It has a harmonious indoor–outdoor connection, creating a tranquil and immersive guest experience.
anchored by swimming pool that serves as a visual and social focal point. Poolside lounging areas, tropical planting, and shaded walkways enhance relaxation while maintaining clear visual connectivity across the property.
Architects keep the architectural massing low and human-scaled. They use sloped roofs, textured plaster finishes, and arched openings to lend the design a timeless character. Pergola structures and green corridors introduce rhythm and depth, guiding movement through the landscape while framing curated views.
Interior spaces reflect understated elegance and functionality. The reception and common areas feature sculpted ceilings, warm lighting, and custom furniture that create a welcoming atmosphere. Designers create the guest rooms with comfort and serenity in mind. They combined natural materials, soft color palettes, and patterned flooring to deliver a refined yet cozy stay experience.
Overall, the project successfully balances aesthetics, comfort, and functionality, offering a cohesive hospitality environment that feels both contemporary and rooted in regional architectural sensibilities.
The design team meticulously plans the resort to accommodate 36 guest rooms within a compact site area of approximately 25,000 sq ft, demonstrating a highly efficient and intelligent approach to space utilization without compromising comfort, privacy, or experiential quality.
The planning strategy is based on compact modular room layouts arranged along linear circulation corridors and landscaped courtyards, ensuring maximum room count while maintaining openness and visual breathing spaces.
Standardized room modules with optimized dimensions allow repetition and construction efficiency, while attached verandahs and openings toward green pockets enhance the perceived spatial quality.
The planners arrange parking and recreational zones along the site edges, freeing the core area for guest-centric spaces. The overall planning achieves a high room density while preserving resort-like openness, proving that thoughtful spatial organization can deliver a full-fledged hospitality experience within a limited land parcel.
The resort’s visual identity is defined by a soft, earthy color palette paired with natural and durable materials, creating a calm and timeless aesthetic that blends seamlessly with the landscape. The primary building surfaces are finished in Greige colored textured plaster, providing a neutral backdrop that enhances daylight reflection while maintaining a warm, resort-like character.
Roof edges, pergolas, balcony railings, and architectural trims introduce warm wood tones, achieved through treated timber and wood-finish metal sections. This contrast between light plastered surfaces and warm wooden elements adds depth and richness to the façades while reinforcing the natural theme of the project.
Arched openings and verandahs are highlighted through subtle shadow play rather than contrasting colors, allowing form and proportion to define the architecture. Window and door frames in soft grey finishes provide a contemporary counterbalance to the traditional forms, ensuring durability with minimal visual intrusion.
Landscape elements play a critical role in the color composition. Lush green lawns, tropical foliage, and planters form a vibrant natural layer that softens built edges and brings freshness into the spatial experience. Stone-paved pathways and neutral-toned flooring unify the outdoor circulation while maintaining visual continuity across the site.
Overall, the restrained color palette and honest material selection work together to create a cohesive environment—one that feels elegant, natural, and enduring, while minimizing maintenance and enhancing the guest’s sensory experience.
