With incorporating muted colours such as whites, beiges, and soft pastels we provided a versatile backdrop to the interior design of the clinic while also layering different shades of neutrals to create depth. We hear dental clinics, we hear anxiety! but to beat the stereotypes attributed to dental clinics, we played with the neutral tones hence giving a harmonious blend of functionality, comfort and a contemporary design to it. The notion of asepsis and hygiene were the topmost requirements in the concept of this clinic design.
The idea was to create a bridge between professionals and patients, hence warmer tones and materials came into play. It created a sense of tranquility and sophistication. Clean lines, simple forms, and uncluttered spaces further enhances the perception of cleanliness and hygiene.
The Interior Design of Clinic Layers Different Shades of Neutrals for Depth | RSAA Studio
Wood accents were used to add warmth and texture to the neutral palette, additionally the wooden pieces are placed in a way that gives comfort, counterbalancing the clinical feel typically associated with medical environments. Furthermore, we incorporated large windows & glass walls to maximize natural light. The idea was to create an open, airy atmosphere and also reducing the typical closed clinic feels.
Separate zones for reception, treatment rooms, consultation areas, and sterilization facilities are delineated to facilitate smooth operations while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
We Incorporated elements of nature, such as indoor plants which softens the mood of clinical environment, fostering a sense of well-being and connection with the natural world.
The space was organized based on their function, such as separating waiting areas, treatment rooms, and skincare rooms. Each zone is designed to optimize workflow and also ensuring patient and staff efficiency.
With the ongoing wellness trends in market, I wanted to explore more innovative materials in the landscape of healthcare and delve into patient psychology to design spaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and calming.
Ensuring that the design adheres to strict hygiene standards is vital. It took us very long to select materials that are easy to clean, integrating efficient ventilation systems, and designing layouts that support infection control protocols.
