The Design Ethos of this Sample Home Embodies Spaces Dipped in Breezy Calmness and Finesse | The Crossboundaries

    Visit: The Crossboundaries

Laid out along a capacious linear plan across 3600 sq.ft, this 4BHK apartment opens up into a large common central family area, with bedrooms on either end. Beginning from the generous private foyer, the design ethos of this sample home embodies spaces dipped in breezy calmness and finesse. The home seeks communion with nature and natural elements through artistic pieces, such as a majestic sculpture of a horse in the private foyer. A duet of chic pink and white sofas in the expansive foyer showcase how this area can be used as an extended living space. A  linear water body – an epitome of affluence—  too greets one within this space with a cadence of a gurgling water wall.

Stepping inside the luxurious entrance vestibule, a hand painted rice paper screen becomes a thriving backdrop of greens over a hemispherical credenza. Every wall is layered with visual and tactile elements, encouraging discovery and wonder. For instance, the passage wall holds a series of custom-designed elliptical niches, scooped out to hold vertical lighting elements.

From the vestibule, the expansive  living, formal seating and dining flow into one another, embellished with bespoke furniture pieces and interior elements. The interior palette is planned to complement and correlate to the beige marbled Italian flooring, to allow prospective home-buyers to imagine their opulent interiors.

A pair of plush brown-beige sofas paired with a glossy black coffee table set the tone for the ambient living space. Handmade wall art, referencing magnolia blooms, is a lively backdrop to the seating area. Handpicked vases and decor accents too breathe life and luminosity into the space, presenting visual possibilities.

The ceiling is a composition of sleek linear magnetic LED lights, embedded into thin grooved profiles. A series of brass pendant lights hover over the resplendent dining table set. Beyond this area, a duo of brown couches aligned towards a fluted television panel showcase how the living and dining experience can seamlessly flow together.

This entire space is awash with gentle diffused light from sheer curtains, further accentuating the high ceilings. The living  area also overlooks the generous terrace, dotted with greens, a swing and space enough to relax at the end of a long day. The terrace is also an extension of the living experience, adding more space to the home.

The open kitchen, in neutral monotones steps back from the opulence, and exhibits clean, functional living with high quality finishes. A sleek dinner counter also shows the flexible and open ways in which the kitchen and dining experience can be merged together.

To showcase design innovation, the stretched ceiling over the kitchen throws perfectly uniform light, casting the space in a warm glow. Along the passage, a space for pooja has been carved out and embellished with fluted glass and series of tinkling bells. The home walks the line between effortless luxury and grand gestures, allowing for prospective homeowners to effectively visualize their lifestyle.

The bedrooms represent various approaches to infusing colour, character and charm in space. Ranging from pristine whites to moody browns, or from a nostalgic sepia-toned experience to a wood-cabin-like vibe, the bedrooms illustrate myriad possibilities of design palettes and sensibilities. Backdrops to the beds in each room are treated as works of art, to showcase the spirit and essence of the space.

One bedroom draws up imageries of a  walk in the forest, through an ethereal sepia image of wilderness on the bed back. The concept for the room draws from the soft, misty mornings in nature, also echoed by the greens outside visible through the french windows.

With clean, uncluttered finishes and grey-blue themed soft furnishings , the bedroom exhibits a serene, restful experience.

Clad in serene whites and hints of grey, the next sample bedroom is a template for refined luxury and minimal modern living. The cool-coloured palette of brushed blues and muted greys comes alive through handpicked accent chairs or a hand-tufted bed back.

Raised 12-foot high ceilings carrying aesthetic profile lights throughout, provide the space with a muted-clean canvas in play with the vibrant decor.

The third bedroom is a study in restrained, artful balance, in beige, browns and hints of wood. An interesting addition, a dynamic, tactile installation of movable round pellets within a rectangular grid becomes a unique feature of this quietly rustic room.

A pair of tufted chairs with a small sculptural table complement the brown flavor of the room.

The last bedroom, is a vibrant and slightly eccentric expression of the warmth of wood, exhibited to its superlative form! The high ceilings of the space are used to create a stunning curved canopy of wood, stretching from floor to ceiling.

Within this haven of wooden textures, an indigo bed back adds a pop of  colour. A simple, linear study desk and wall console shows the ways in which wall spaces can be efficiently used. The showstopper, however, is the layered, hand painted wall panel above the bed back.

Layers of desert sand dunes come alive on painted rice paper, peppered with desert camels and other elements,  showing a depth of perspective through fusion art.

All together, each space represents vibrancy, attention to detail and varied design ideas, which can fuse to create a dream home!
