First impressions matter, and we think it’s fair to judge a home by its foyer. Hence, the boho house sets the tone by showcasing the style and the mood. Set in beige neutral tones, the round mirror creates drama, whereas the hounds tooth-printed ottoman makes a statement as one enters the main door.
The Boho House Sets the Tone by Showcasing the Style and Mood | Duende Designs
As one steps in, one knows they are entering sheer elegance. We have used neutral tones to achieve balance within a space and, at the same time, make it look versatile.
The living room area speaks an eclectic language with the earthiness of a bohemian feel punctuated by the rattan furniture, creating relaxed and interesting patterns, textures, and colours.
The colour palette revolves around soft shades of grey and beige that transcend into nude, and taupe provides a backdrop that exudes calmness and tranquillity.
Each piece tells a story and has a personal meaning. The colours are happy and cosy, where the living room’s playful pink blushes at the earthy.
In the design process, the most important challenge was that our client is a sophisticated lady with a twist of quirkiness, and that is what she wanted her house to be like. The biggest challenge was to fuse chic with quirky and unorthodox.
Execution challenges were so many that we have lost count, from trying to coordinate with the glass shutter vendor for on-time delivery to making sure the dining room customized wallpaper has the exact shade of blush pink and sage green we have used for our living room palette.
But, the best part was that our client gave us creative liberty, and that made the difference.

For architect duo Rakshanda Moog and Dev Thakkar of Den Studio, designing their first home (and debut interior project) came together the way most meaningful things do. Gradually and instinctively. “We started with minimalism,” they say, “but somewhere along the way, the house asked for more character.” Perched on an upper floor with unobstructed views […]

Referred by his cousin, who initially approached us for a large residential bungalow, Dilip Jain sought our expertise for his newly purchased 4 BHK luxury apartment in Akota. While the builder had completed the civil work for the kitchen and bathrooms, the client was unsatisfied with the final results. We took the initiative to transform […]
The Wabi Sabi Interior design of this residence was done in 71 days, including designing & execution. Contrary to our standard practice of a step-by-step design process, the process here was pretty fluid & more based on intuitions, visualizations, sketches & discussions. Only sketches were made, which proceeded to working drawings; no 3D visualization was […]
