When Stars n Stripes, a digital marketing agency, approached me to design their office, I knew it had to be all about storytelling. They wanted to steer clear from adding too many graphics and, in fact, anything you would see in a traditional creative agency office. It had to be simple but make an impact. My direction for design was clear: anyone entering the space should recognize the brand first with just the brand colors, even without typography.
So, the brand’s colors are the only colors you see in the space. Right from the exact Pantone shade green ceiling, strong red elements through the handles and partitions, and bursts of yellow added through the styling elements. We call this project The Green Elephant, as the logo of the brand is an elephant, and the largest surface of the space is the ceiling, which is painted green.

A large red handle and green doors welcome you to this office space. The entrance has a divider that has storage below and a fluted glass partition with a red frame supporting it. We’ve styled it with a large fiddle leaf fig tree and yellow artwork that says, ‘What if this is all real?’ echoing the emotion that this digital media powerhouse can help your brand achieve the impossible.
Keeping in mind the open workspace culture, the meeting room isn’t completely cut off and is instead separated with a striking red partition from the utility area. It is also the perfect background for the common meeting table with a large whiteboard where ideas flow.
The office follows an open workspace culture to promote collective brainstorming of ideas. The furniture is very minimal with clean lines, off-white countertops with a grey frame, and feltboard.
Three directors’ desks sit against the cascade of windows, while the worktables occupy the central space. A large off-white pegboard wall forms the backdrop of the workspace. The shelves hold books and feature open pegs, allowing you to add things on a whim.
The office is divided into two zones. One is where the whole workforce is in action, and the second is where all the shoots and production take place. The design uses movable and minimal furniture that spins around effortlessly to meet the shoot’s requirements.
Abundant natural light fills this space, offering stunning views of the lush mangroves and the river flowing by. To watch the sunset with the 5 o’clock sunlight hitting your face while seated on the comfy leaf green sofa certainly helps creative ideas to flow through.
A large live edge wood and resin conference table sits against the backdrop of windows overlooking the lush mangroves, complemented by mustard yellow and concrete grey chairs. The Founders desks are also on the production floor.
The pantry follows the same color scheme. The green paint covers the walls and ceiling, while the rest of the space remains monochrome. Additionally, the countertop is a black granite telephone with black under-counter shutters, white cabinets, and dado.
