Nomad School Design
Great ambition in a small scale :
We attempt to design a innovative small scale building that can offer a presence of the great ambition of ISS project. Relative to this grand education network that intends to expand across all India, each school will be an education terminal, powered by distributed network, and conveying the energies of skill education in the background of globalism.
The concept of terminal architecture is to create a building with simple structure and intriguing mystical look so that can embrace identity, diversity and universal contextual adaptation and enhance the education experiences. The building was lifted 4 meters from the ground, hovering above the site; release an unobstructed field for communal use. The existence of building is revealed by rigid concrete frame system strongly, covered by glass panel and pre-processing elastic sailcloth; softness and rigidity, opposite but relative, blended in one building; reflects the ISS project’s attractiveness that rooted in knowledge span and cultural tolerance. The building use 9meters X 9meters X 4meters spatial modulus to meet the requirements of programs, and creates a fundamental flexibility — makes building can be easily transformed, converted and migrated without the sacrifice of linking.
Instead of conformance with a specific site, the building realized maximum contextual compatibility by minimized the contact area with the site so that can toward uncertain settings in future. Overhead building makes contextual universality — being education institute, landscape element, communal facility, urban furniture — possible — the building can be built anywhere among the India: in the city, the rural, on the mountain, the weald, even the water surface.
Overhead building maximized the surface area that contact with the atmosphere so that can optimize the thermal performance of the building, two interior semi opened atrium and an open atrium linked interior to exterior; improve efficiency of ventilation.

Situated in a gated community called Sanctity Ferme in a picturesque location called Shoolagiri, the owner was in a fix as there were unwanted obscure plots at the periphery of the community characterized by […]
Rajas Cottage was a special project as the home is in my ancestral town Mangalore and belongs to us. The project is a 90+ year old Mangalore style villa. Age old mud walls creaking, red oxide floor loosing it’s stain and texture, discomfort without attached bath areas and wardrobe spaces in bedrooms, inadequate lighting in […]

Some clients, some projects, some homes are not just a part of our work, they occupy a special place in our heart.
