Key Considerations When Buying Marble

While the aesthetic appeal of marble is often the main attraction, there are two critical aspects to consider before purchasing marble for any project: thickness and pre-polishing. These elements impact both how the stone looks and how long it lasts and how easy it is to install.

1. Choose a thickness of 20 MM for Improved Strength

When selecting marble for a project its thickness plays a vital role. Marble measuring 20 MM features 30% more strength compared to 18 MM. 20 MM marble is used in all the spaces because of its stronger structure. Increasing the thickness offers superior protection from cracking and various forms of destruction throughout the life of the material.

2. Select pre-polished marble to ensure a smoother installation process

One important point to remember is if the marble is already pre-polished. The polishing process has been completed off-site so that pieces of marble are readily assembled for use. The installation time is shortened while the potential for post-buy surprises decreases with inconsistent finish or uneven texture. Among 194 nations worldwide pre-polished marble is the accepted norm and is chosen for projects needing prompt attention and precision.

Conclusion

The distinct allure of imported marble emerges from its abundant range of colors and designs influenced by the geological settings of the regions it is extracted from. Each variant of marble has a particular appeal for architects and designers globally. Before making a purchase, remember to consider key factors like thickness and pre-polishing to ensure that your marble is not only beautiful but also durable and easy to install. Whether you are designing a modern home, a luxury hotel, or a corporate space, the right choice of imported marble can elevate your project to new heights of elegance and sophistication.
