Every project has a story, so we believe. While some are cliched, some turn out interesting with layers of meaning hidden with them, and then there are some projects which leave a lasting impression. This 4BHK contemporary design bungalow designed in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, completed in May 2022 portrays a neutral color scheme and how it flows and is pumped throughout the home, by way of a main ‘artery’.

Appealing metal décor as well as hanging lights has been used throughout. Large windows are provided for the purpose of natural light. The result is one that emanates an overall feeling of clarity and composure — a home that enhances the life of the growing family who reside within its walls. As you walk past the first impression of the door, the foyer eases into the formal drawing room with the concept of beautifully designed Turkish sofa sets.

The first floor follows the same logic as the ground floor in terms of color palette and theme, while offering a lounge area through its seating and book shelf with metal decors. A slight metal screening has been provided between hall and staircase.

As the family likes to cook and dine together, the dining area is screened from the kitchen space by half height counter and metal partition further enhancing the theme. The functionality of all these spaces is distinct yet they are tied together visually.

The only brief from client was to make a ‘home’ that would appeal to their nuclear family staying under one roof — minimal and modern in equal measure. As one enters the home, one notices the living room is a happy mix of colors and materials with Italian marble on floor and wall, forming a good contrast against the ‘Aegean’ colored sofa. The wall mounted TV unit with designer mdf on the wall add contemporary feel of the space. Complementing the overall look of the space with a grey textured rug.

The master bedroom’s most redeeming feature is the Italian marble and designer mdf on back wall which gives elegant look to this contemporary design space. As we step in, we see a cozy mood flowing in the air, as this room belonged to the couple of the family.

Let’s fly in the space as we enter this beautiful daughter’s bedroom. Every tiny detail includes designer mdf on wall with attractive metal décor was carefully designed. Creating a study table with wooden louvers at the backdrop with wardrobe space to make room for all her belongings.

This son’s room displays the trendiest color today, ASHY. ‘With the wooden flooring, use of black mirror on wall, pleated curtains, we did have a lot on our plate to manage the space right’. Use of Italian marble creates a right balance between contemporary and modern style.
