Main Signage – A Symphony with Nature

At the heart of the project lies the main signage, an artistic masterpiece that seamlessly blends into the surrounding environment like a visual symphony. With its curvilinear design, the signage elegantly rests upon a stone base, achieving a poetic fusion with the natural landscape.

Inspired by the essence of ‘Svasara’ a Sanskrit word, translating to ‘bird’s nest’ in English; the signage reflects the organic and nurturing qualities inherent in this concept. The design not only captures the attention of visitors but also serves as a symbolic gateway, inviting them into a space where nature and luxury coalesce.

Leaf Impressions – Capturing Local Essence

The leaf impressions on the walls encapsulates the spirit of Tadoba’s jungle. Utilizing locally abundant bamboo leaves, the wall becomes a canvas of imprints, each telling a story of the vibrant flora that characterizes the region.

This unique and site-specific design not only brings the outdoors in but also creates a dynamic and textured backdrop for the dining area. It serves as a visual ode to the rich biodiversity of Tadoba, fostering a connection between guests and the natural world that surrounds them.

Standard Room Extension – A Symphony of Simplicity and Elegance

The extension of two standard rooms exemplifies a meticulous adherence to the site and its context. Balancing simplicity with elegance, sustainability with modernity, and Indian aesthetics with contemporary design, these rooms offer a refined and tranquil retreat for guests.

The architectural design seamlessly integrates the rooms into the existing structure, enhancing the overall aesthetic coherence of the resort.

Sustainable materials and practices are employed, ensuring that the extension not only meets the highest standards of comfort but also respects and preserves the ecological integrity of the surroundings.

Tribal Art-Inspired Railings

The railings, influenced by tribal art forms, showcase a melding of metal craftsmanship with a teak wood handrail. This infusion of cultural inspiration adds a unique character to the architectural elements, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the space.

Raw Elegance of the External Verandah

Retaining the verandah in its raw form, a red Mangalore-tiled roof which is known locally as “kabelu” allows a tree to gracefully cut through it. The flooring of the verandah embraces an unfinished, rough concrete texture, creating a rustic yet sophisticated ambiance that connects guests with the raw beauty of the natural surroundings.

Innovative Almirahs Inside the Rooms

Within the rooms, the almirahs are a testament to innovation, crafted from a blend of metal and reclaimed teak wood doors. This fusion of materials adds a touch of contemporary elegance to the interiors and aligns with sustainable practices by repurposing materials for a stylish and eco-friendly design

Conclusion

MAKC Space, through the vision of Architect Mandira Neware, has successfully orchestrated a symphony of design at Svasara Jungle Lodge in Tadoba. From the evocative main signage inspired by the essence of Svasara to the locally infused leaf impressions on the dining wall and the harmonious extension of standard rooms, every element contributes to a narrative that celebrates nature, luxury, and the unique identity of Tadoba. This project displays a thoughtful design which create spaces that not only aesthetically please but also resonate with the heart and soul of their surroundings.
