Editor’s note : “Step into the realm of contemporary-inspired office interiors that greet you with an alluring and thoughtfully designed spatial layout. The presence of wooden fluted partitions and black framed frosted windows infuses a touch of classic elegance that takes centre stage. Seamlessly integrating modern furnishings and cutting-edge technology, it is a proud contender for your next office design inspo.” ~ Venessa Thomas (Co-Editor)

The office layout has been meticulously planned to optimize the available space, ensuring no negative space exists. Upon entering, a welcoming reception area greets visitors with its elegant design. The reception seamlessly transitions into a central collaborative zone, fostering a sense of openness and facilitating smooth communication among the workforce.

The client’s brief was to create space that showcase increased volume and openness, and hence the designer refrained from incorporating a false ceiling (instead open ceiling), thereby highlighting the vertical expanse of the office. Furthermore, the choice of materials was made, in a way that creates openness and continuity.

Challenges and Solutions

Ensuring the penetration of natural light in all the offices posed a significant challenge. While certain offices were fortunate enough to receive ample natural light, the concern remained for the subsequent offices. To tackle this, they installed full-length plane glass partitions. By doing so, they achieved two goals: first, it allowed natural light to extend its reach to all the offices, and second, it ensured a more even and uniform distribution of natural light throughout the workspace.

Moreover, careful attention was given to the planning of the entire space, taking into consideration the optimal division of both the CA and real estate offices. The layout was strategically organized to accommodate the unique functions and operations of each office type, promoting an effective and seamless workflow while maximizing the efficient use of the available area.

Material Selection & colour palette

The choice of materials and colour palette contributes significantly to the office’s overall ambience. They opted for a harmonious blend of neutral colours with sleek glass elements, modern metallic finishes, and veneer furniture.

The table top was designed using white artificial stone. A notable design feature was the implementation of both a fluted and plane glass for the partition between cabins.

Cabins were strategically separated in such a way that avoids isolation but simultaneously does not compromise privacy, productivity, and longevity. The lower half of the partition incorporated fluted glass, shielding direct vision, while the upper half remained transparent.

Biophilic Elements

Shraddha Architects recognizes the significance of nature in the workplace, and the office design reflects this understanding. Incorporating biophilic design principles, the space features carefully placed indoor plants. To foster a rejuvenating ambience and promote fresh air circulation, money plants were thoughtfully positioned near the work desks.

Also, they designed the storage space in such a way that it complemented the overall aesthetics. The addition of artefacts to the storage space brought an elegant touch to the working area– integrating functionality and style. Moreover, to add to the overall appeal and design of the office, the lights were placed diagonally.

Innovation

The marketing office pod, a standout feature in this office’s interior design, with its thoughtful layout and strategic placement, elevates productivity and efficiency, providing a specialized environment tailored to meet the unique needs of the marketing team.

Technology Integration

The office seamlessly integrates cutting-edge technology to optimize efficiency and convenience. One of them was the usage of an air humidifier. It helped remove bad indoor air and give quality fresh oxygen-rich air to keep the office area healthy and rejuvenating around the clock; ensuring a stylish workspace along with a healthy atmosphere.

Another noteworthy technology integration was the installation of a central vacuum. Installing a vacuum system throughout the entire office proved to be highly useful, ensuring effortless and efficient cleaning without the hassle of bulky portable vacuums. It removed dust, dirt, and allergens, thereby promoting a healthier and cleaner work environment. This centralized vacuum system simplified maintenance tasks and advanced the overall cleanliness standards of the office space.
