A Luxury Contemporary House Celebrates The Art of Double-height Living | Projected Rays Design

In the world of a luxury contemporary house, a double-height space is more than just an architectural statement, it’s an experience. This bungalow’s soaring ceilings craft an atmosphere of grandeur, where openness meets fluidity in a breathtaking composition. At its heart, an exquisite chandelier—an ethereal cascade of glass or an asymmetric arrangement of sculptural lights—suspends like floating jewels, transforming illumination into art.

Editor’s Note: “Abode 72 conveys a narrative of motion—fluid, bold, and bright. The double-height ceilings elevate the experience, while the lively colors and layers of texture anchor the residence in both warmth and style. Every nook has its character, every detail its meaning, and every material echoes a contemporary work of art with a soul.” ~ Anusha Sridhar

The corridor exudes elegance, blending modern luxury with timeless charm. The luminous chandeliers cascade like shimmering rain, casting a soft glow.

Plush caramel chairs invite quiet reflection, while the striking wall art flows like a celestial river. A marble table, crowned with delicate florals, stands as the corridor’s warm, welcoming heart.

Designer lighting illuminates each space, while high-end flooring materials, such as marble and hardwood, add a sophisticated touch.

The home’s interiors are a true testament to luxury living, with every detail carefully considered to create an atmosphere of comfort and opulence.

Open- Plan Layout

The open-plan layout emphasizes spaciousness and ease of movement, making the home feel expansive and inviting.

Addition of Luxury Elements

The design process focused on seamlessly blending straight lines with curved forms to create a harmonious and timeless contemporary interior. Every element, from ceilings , wall paneling and flooring patterns, was thoughtfully designed to integrate these contrasting shapes in an elegant and cohesive way. Ceilings and chandeliers feature soft, sweeping curves that complement linear lighting, while wall paneling combines clean, straight grooves with subtle, curved accents for visual balance.

Flooring patterns and door frames mix rectilinear layouts with flowing, organic shapes to add depth and character. The goal was to ensure these details feel intentional and refined, avoiding excess while maintaining a modern aesthetic. Each detail works together to create a space that is not only visually striking but also warm, inviting, and built to stand the test of time.

The walls embrace a minimalist elegance, adorned with textured panels, subtle metallic inlays, or bold abstract pieces that intrigue without overpowering. Below, the furnishings exude understated opulence—low-profile sofas draped in rich textures, sculptural accent chairs, and statement coffee tables echoing organic, free-flowing forms.

This is more than a living space , it’s a symphony of bold contrasts and delicate harmony, where modern luxury is redefined with effortless sophistication.

Design Approach

The vision was to move away from the purely classical or strictly contemporary rectilinear approach, exploring a fresh direction that feels balanced yet innovative.

Art was central to this concept, as they saw it as a powerful symbol of hope. they wanted art seamlessly integrated into every aspect of the space, not just as an accessory but as a meaningful part of the design.

Timeless Yet Unique Design

The space should feel elegant, warm, and inspiring, with thoughtful details and materials that elevate the overall experience. The goal was also to create something timeless yet unique, where creativity and refinement coexist beautifully.

The bathrooms and kitchens are further elevated by the exceptional work of Fima, whose premium fixtures bring an unparalleled level of elegance to the home. From sleek, sculptural faucets to state-of-the-art shower systems, Fima’s attention to detail is evident in every corner.

These fixtures not only elevate the aesthetic of each space but also offer the ultimate in functionality and durability.
