  • A PERFECT BLEND OF CONCRETE GREYS AND FRONDESCENCE GREENS | PALAK SHAH DESIGN STUDIO

Built on a plot of 3600 sq.ft, this bungalow stands right in the dense neighborhood of the Ahmedabad area and the busy road passing by. The client had a clear checklist of requirements to accommodate certain luxurious amenities like a top-class bar lounge, home theatre, pool table, and gym area along with basic necessities. Our inspiration was the client himself, who loved and was passionate about his dream to have a high-end, luxurious home for his family of parents and two children. It’s a perfect blend of concrete greys and frondescence greens.

Visit : Palak Shah Design Studio

The facade comprises of double height glass facade on the left wrapped in travertine marble from 2 sides and concrete on the other. The wooden screen on the front facade gives a sense of warmth in an overall concrete set-up. The right side of the facade is covered in concrete finish texture.

One of the entrances is designed as a series of steps covered with pebbles leading up to a grand brass and wooden doorway, large planters, and intricately inlaid brass flooring. Whereas the other is crossing the garden with outdoor seating while strolling your way through floating steps in a water body. The entire hard and soft landscape in front creates a classy but soothing ambiance, especially in the evening time.

The ground floor comprises the drawing room – Double height living room, kitchen- dining, Puja, and parent’s bedroom. Master bedroom with front facing balcony and daughter bedroom on first floor and son bedroom on the second floor with bar and gym facilities.

Talking about the common spaces, the classy green leather sofa set and fireplace in the drawing room keep it cozy. While the double-height living room with a garden view has dark veneer finish verticals hanging from the ceiling to enhance the overall scale, a series of art frames behind the accent chairs and bold black leather sofa served as the focal point of the room.

The Structure has a unique design that stands tall with multi-level openings. Each plate of the house opens up to a beautiful garden. While the ground floor has a unique feature of the double-height glass facade that pens p to the garden, the first floor has a balcony.

The client’s favorite spot has to be the Bar lounge on the top floor. It is the perfect set-up of a home bar one can dream of. Back-lit onyx marble backdrop with bronze mirror shelves against the onyx bar counter adds in the oomph to the entire space. The copper-cladded ceiling just adds that little touch of glamour to this over dimly lit bar lounge.

Taking all the private bedrooms, every bedroom has its own individuality reflecting its respective occupant.

Parent’s bedroom has mainly white fluted marble behind bed back wall continued with decreasing panels in grey finish highlighted with brass leafing done.

A smart and stylish enough bedroom for young son was created using dark wooden, concrete textures, and black finishes. The rotating TV panel divides the bedroom and lounge area very precisely. Likewise, the bathroom’s ceiling was made of wooden beams and black marble shower cubicle and bath tub.

Daughter’s room is designed to make it look that perfect pre-teen vibe. The aesthetic of this room is still in sync with the overall house. What defines this as a daughter’s room is the wall panel behind the bed. The panel consists of multiple pastel colored blocks on pivot making it very dynamic.

The master bedroom has a rich ambiance with dark brown marble, bronze mirrors, and brass touches. The indoor lounge seating of the bedroom, lit up by corner hanging light of glass bowls, is very well served with an outdoor balcony’s space and swing. Additionally, the bathroom has a unique mosaic panel and a mirror television that could be viewed while taking a bath.

Basement comprises of a 12 seater lavish home theatre with multiple mood light setup which can be altered as per the mood. Optical fiber ceiling and cove light wall paneling gives away the perfect cozy theater vibes.

Second floor has a terrace garden as the spill-out space. Terrace is in L shape which opens up to the terrace garden on the floor below making it a conversational place.
