The foyer is designed with costumed mural wall reflecting the client’s cultural and traditional values. The foyer leads to a formal living area which serves as the dialogue space. The concept flows to create intimate and personalised spaces, each having a distinct identity yet when put together creates a cohesive space.

The double height Living room is par excellence with visual language. There is an effortless transition from the living room to the dining area. The double height Living area is a bespoke lounge with deep red sofa’s and Chester high back chairs. Ceiling heights of the transitional spaces are lowered to enhance the grandeur of the main spaces that are used throughout the day. The custom crafted lotus leaf backdrop on main wall in the living area expresses the visual mass of the living area along the Dining area.  Diffused lighting from the onyx wall creates a warm environment acquainted by other light features which orient themselves around the furniture. The walls are kept bear with mild tone wallpapers all over the house. The flooring has geometric patterns to compliment the monotone teak coloured ceiling.

Materiality is a significant part of the project. The teak coloured doors, beige and grey marbles with distinct brass inlays is seen through the spaces. The use of brass inlays adds a glamorous and luxurious touch to the otherwise monotone wooden and marble finishes.

The master bedroom is designed on an overall contemporary theme where the brass framing around the bed alone distinguishes itself with a classical touch.

The guest bedroom has a modern appearance with glass and brass stripes and dual tone leather headboard.

The projections of the son’s room and the home theatre on the first floor compliment the massive volume of the double height space. The floating staircase along with the skylight and marble backdrop creates a seamless flow through the spaces and features the vertical stacked volume.

The son’s room has custom designed brass inlays on the dark Italian marble backdrop. The room holds grey metal inlayed panels and furniture with accent velvet fabric. It portrays a combination of three elements wood, fabric and metal.

The design and concept of daughter’s room is minimalist and simple. The honey onyx embraces the whole space with the headboard in genuine metallic leather.

Each of the spaces has its own aesthetics and tone. The spaces are enhanced with statement elements, sculptures and artefacts to add definition to the space keeping it subtle yet impactful. It is a contemporary ode to the traditional Indian material, accentuated by warm wood, neutral color palette and traditional elements to accommodate a luxurious lifestyle.
