Arched Abode is a design exploration that celebrates the timeless elegance of the arch as a unifying architectural language. The project reinterprets this classical element in a contemporary residential setting. It integrates the element across doors, wall panelling, and bespoke furniture details. The repetition of arches creates a soft visual rhythm, bringing continuity and a sense of fluidity throughout the home.

At the heart of the living space lies a serene, zen-inspired console featuring a Buddha installation and real plants. Together, they introduce a moment of calm and mindfulness within the home. Lime wash on the walls adds subtle texture and depth, enhancing the spatial quality. It also elevates the overall ambience of the living room.
A key design strategy is the integration of panellings and doors in a way that they merge into the walls, creating an illusion of seamless openings. This approach not only enhances visual clarity but also adds an element of surprise and intrigue to the spatial experience.
The kids’ bedroom introduces a more playful and expressive character, designed to resonate with their personalities and evolving needs. The space embraces a sense of movement and creativity while maintaining functional discipline. A key highlight is the innovative study table design, where circular elements are seamlessly integrated into the composition.
These forms open out to transform into desks, creating an interactive and engaging experience for the user, while also concealing smart storage solutions for daily essentials. This dual-purpose approach not only optimizes space but also adds a distinctive design language that makes the room both practical and visually engaging.
The master bedroom is conceived as a refined balance between understated luxury and modern sensibility, where every element is carefully curated to enhance comfort within a compact footprint. Clean lines, soft textures, and a restrained material palette create a calming atmosphere, while thoughtful spatial planning ensures that the room feels open rather than limited.
Each component — from the placement of furniture to the integration of functional zones — works cohesively to offer both visual clarity and everyday ease, making the space feel quietly indulgent without excess.
One of the primary challenges in this project was the consistent execution of arched openings throughout the house. Unlike straight lines, curves demand a high level of precision — every door opening had to align perfectly in proportion, radius, and height. Ensuring that each arch sat at the same visual level, without inconsistencies, required meticulous detailing and coordination during both design development and on-site execution. Even minor deviations could disrupt the overall discipline of the space.
Another layer of complexity came from integrating these curves with a design language largely defined by clean linear elements. While straight lines are inherently easier to align and execute, introducing curves within this framework required careful transitions to maintain visual harmony without breaking the continuity of the concept.
