“Minimal, Elegant, and Personal” — this guiding motto shaped the vision and execution of a smart space. This turns it into a calm and inviting retreat amidst the city’s constant hustle. The family’s primary wish was to have a space that felt soft, cosy, and nurturing while being highly functional for their everyday needs. “The designers thoughtfully crafted every corner to reflect this balance, blending aesthetics with practicality and firmly rooting it in the principles of Vastu.”
Smart Space Utilisation Is The Key To This Elegant & Functional Residence | MN Architecture & Interiors
“The designers intentionally kept the overall palette light and soothing to create an illusion of spaciousness.” Subtle, neutral tones allow natural light to flow freely, enhancing openness throughout the home. “The designers layered wooden accents for warmth and added trims to define a smart space, keeping the interiors inviting and cohesive.”
“The living and dining area serves as the family hub and a versatile play zone.” “The designers designed this space to maximize functionality without compromising openness.” A specially designed foldable dining table became the highlight here—ingeniously crafted with storage at the back.
“When used, it seats family meals; when folded, it frees floor space for play, adapting to different needs.” This clever design solution reflects the family’s desire for a smart space that is both efficient and child-friendly.
“The designers carefully aligned every aspect of the home with Vastu principles, which were deeply important to the clients. They meticulously planned the positioning of each element — from the placement of the bed in the master bedroom to the orientation of the sofa in the living area, the mandir, and even the kitchen counters. This not only ensured harmony and balance in the space but also provided the family with a sense of spiritual reassurance and comfort in their daily lives.
The kitchen required careful rethinking to balance both functionality and Vastu requirements.”The designers initially created the layout with two parallel counters and minimal storage, but later adapted it to better serve the family’s needs. They introduced a compact counter specifically to meet the Vastu placement of the hob. On the opposite side, they modified the counter into a flexible pantry with movable wheels. “This addition provided much-needed extra storage while retaining adaptability in the compact layout. The result is a kitchen that feels efficient, practical, and rooted in tradition without sacrificing modern convenience.
The guest bedroom was envisioned as a warm, welcoming space. Earthy tones dominate the palette here, creating a grounded and serene atmosphere. A beautiful wallpaper adds character, while subtle border trimmings highlight the walls and lend definition.
To add a personal and playful element, we introduced a unique design detail: a small green accent in the wardrobe corner, shaped into a display shelf. This not only broke the monotony but also created a special spot for the child’s toy car collection, giving the room a charming, family-oriented touch.
The master bedroom embodies a soothing, elegant charm. Designed in a palette of soft pink and beige, the space is accented with delicate touches of rose gold, infusing it with sophistication and calm. Since the room had limited storage capacity, additional cabinets were thoughtfully integrated above the side tables to optimize functionality.
A standout feature of this room is the custom pivoting mirror. The clients wished to use their dressing table as a work desk as well, but a fixed mirror would have caused distraction during work hours. The pivoting design solved this challenge perfectly, offering flexibility to switch between dressing and work modes while maintaining a clean and purposeful look.
Altogether, this home is a blend of minimal elegance and deeply personal touches. Every design decision, from the choice of palette to the integration of flexible furniture, was made with the family’s lifestyle and values in mind. The result is not just a house, but a warm, nurturing haven that balances simplicity with sophistication, practicality with beauty, and tradition with modern living.
