Sleek Design Merges With Elegance in this Mumbai Villa | Vikas Bhujbal Design
The clients are a family of discerning tastes and sought a warm, inviting atmosphere. Their brief highlighted a design with modern lines and a deep connection to Indian cultural roots. This translated into a design narrative that balances minimalism with meaningful, sleek design.
To create a space that’s sleek and modern without losing the essence of traditional Indian warmth. The design team addressed this by embracing a palette that’s both grounded and elevated.
Expansive openings and decks ensure ample daylight floods the home—fulfilling the client’s desire for a naturally lit environment.
The material choices echo refined taste: floors are wrapped in luxurious Michelangelo Italian marble, while walls and cabinetry are layered with grey-toned veneers that add depth and harmony.
A warm colour scheme flows seamlessly through the home, anchored by custom and imported furniture pieces, tailored to suit each room’s function and personality.
Throughout the home, contemporary Indian artworks breathe life into otherwise serene spaces—quietly embedding culture into the everyday.
Lighting design plays a critical role, with natural light leading the daytime mood and warm white LEDs enhancing evenings with gentle intimacy.
From the welcoming living room to the restful private quarters, Mohan Sky Villa embodies modern Indian luxury—subtle, grounded, and resonant with the family it was crafted for.
With an interior that feels curated yet lived-in, the project exemplifies the studio’s philosophy: designing homes that speak to both heart and heritage.
