The नेस्ट, designed by Studio KNest, has truly become a space that feels like a reflection of our hearts. It’s an interior style home where style and comfort come together effortlessly. The entrance door with its sea blue hue and graceful arch is a perfect prelude to the warmth and charm that awaits inside.

Editor’s Note: “The Nest is a reflection of mindful living, where every arch and nook speaks of thoughtful design. With eco-friendly decisions, flowing shapes, and bespoke details, this small Mumbai home balances spatial smarts with soulful beauty. Moreover, this home is beautifully layered with intention and elegance, where nothing is too small to matter.” ~ Anusha Sridhar

    Living & Dining Room

The bold arch that separates the living and kitchen area immediately catches your eye. A large mirror in the north wall of the living room makes the space feel more expansive.

An arched niche created to place a small Ganesh idol, enhanced with wallpaper adds a spiritual touch to the space. This space is designed with attention to the minutest details like a smart key holder hidden inside an arch, artistic knobs, etc.

An olive green sofa adds a sense of warmth and comfort to the room. The striking black wall art above this sofa gives the wall a bold, artistic touch.

Another striking feature of the living room is the folding dining table. It doubles as a console when not in use which is a space-saving solution. The rattan and veneer furniture adds a timeless charm, making this space feel like home.

    Master Bedroom

The highlight of the Master bedroom is the green textured stucco paint by ‘Lapen’, a sustainable material that adds depth and a calming vibe to the room. The wardrobe is finished in PU paint, features subtle arches and bold handles, bringing a modern elegance to the space.

A drop-down projector adds a tech-savvy touch, creating a cozy entertainment corner. A striking niche displays the client’s love for artifacts, while also serving as a practical study space. This room beautifully balances aesthetics with smart design, offering both comfort and purpose.

Designing a space in the city of Mumbai comes with its own challenges of fitting so much in a limited amount of space. ‘The Nest’, is thus a culmination of so many space saving solutions integrated with classic toggle switches, drop down projectors and smart mechanisms yet not compromising on the aesthetics of the space.
