This Three-Storey House Design Looks Like a Carefully Crafted Cuboid | ZZARNA SSTUDIO

In the heart of a dense urban fabric lies this conscientiously designed three-storeyed residence ‘VILAS’ in a plot of 1700 sq. ft. for a multi-generational family catering and navigating the requirements and ensuring their dreams come to reality. This three-storey house design is carefully crafted cuboid with interesting solids and voids, creating peripheral balconies and an extension of indoor spaces into the outdoors. The fusion of concrete texture and exposed brick generates a captivating blend of texture, rawness and warmth.

Editor’s Note: “Delicately designed by Zzarna Sstudio, this residence combines elegance with multi-generational living. This cuboidal three-storey features exposed brickwork and a concrete texture, providing warmth and charm. Spacious living areas, serene bedrooms, and a double-height terrace create a welcoming ambiance. Peripheral balconies, customized furnishings, and natural light offer functionality while satisfying aesthetics.” ~ Anusha Sridhar

Additionally, the wooden false ceiling panels are very astutely used so as to retain the original grandness of the spaces. Moreover, the blues and greys beautifully complement the wooden elements.

Adjacent to the living area is the open kitchen with an extended breakfast table and a 6-seater pristine Italian top dining table.

Daughter’s Bedroom

The daughter’s room is done in a beige finish with custom-designed solid wooden furniture and pink accents complementing the warm theme.

Master Bedroom

Occupying the central core of the second floor, the master bedroom is a serene sanctuary that exudes tranquillity and sophistication. Additionally, the room’s neutral palette, featuring soothing blues and greys, creates a calming atmosphere. Meanwhile, the detailed wooden edges add warmth and texture.

The master bed sits thoughtfully before a unique imprinted patterned gray wall, while a cozy reading nook takes shape with a corner inlay, creating an inviting rug-like seating area.

Second Floor

The second-floor terrace boasts a dramatic double-height space, culminating in an expansive balcony that wraps around the room. Additionally, the exposed brick wall provides a striking backdrop for the vibrant yellow accent chairs and intricate Jaisalmer inlay in the floor. Thus, adding a burst of energy and color into the space.
