Interior design of this modern office space envisioned and designed by Nishchay Design Studio in a 590 sq ft. area. It is a small workspace designed for a young Lawyer located in Ahmedabad. The brief was very simple to create engaging and live work space by utilizing every inch of space. Additionally, to create ample of storage spaces for books and other reading material.
Since the space was a rectangle of 18 feet wide by 33 feet deep with source of light at the Northern end and south eastern end that became the key parameter for spatial planning. Thus, to rationalise the use of space three zones where planned; Reception area for walk-ins and Workspace for common staff, Storage space and open bookshelf, Conference room for meetings with some more open and close storage, Main chamber with book shelves and service area which includes pantry and washroom.
As part of the design process and exploration, we created a mood board that unifies the proposed spaces for the project. This, included shades of teal, mustard, wood, cane, fluted glass with black light fixtures.
Interior Design of this Modern Office has Punches of Colours | Nishchay Design Studio
Reception area is the first space of the workspace. The design attempts to make it look subtle, more open and well lit. Therefore, the half partition was designed having vertical punctures with fix glass to allow natural light. Also, this became the shared partition with the open workspace with waiting space and storage. Additionally, we clad the solid partition, which became the first wall, with MCM cladding material. It offers a very natural feel and the texture becomes the branding wall for the firm.
We designed a small, functional wall-facing workspace with a minimal palette of wood and gray tones.
Here the space was very efficiently designed to house heavy storage material in closed format. It evokes with finished with grey stone laminate giving it a very raw look. Additionally, a very unique open bookshelf was designed in fabrication and wood which divided space between storage and passage. It also gives a seamless look to the setting and enhances overall ambiance of the space.
We designed a compact yet functional conference room with ample storage, including both open and closed spaces, and added a punch of color to enliven the entire area.
Here the floor highlighted with PVC wooden floor giving it a formal look. Also, synchronized sliding door system was used for comfort in movement.
The main cabin interiors feature an exclusive office table with a wooden base and also a black back-painted glass top. This became the central piece with a backdrop of bookshelf from floor to ceiling which additionally creates liveliness to the entire space.
This bookshelf features a partially open design with shutters crafted from raw cane, which were later painted teal blue, giving the space a fresh new look.
Often neglected in design but a very important space of workspace where a cup of coffee can make your day. As a part of design a very simple, clean, open and functional pantry space was created with the use of greys and wood, moreover the part of theme allowing space for all equipment’s.
