Nestled within the confines of a 16’x120′ plot, flanked by walls on three sides, this private house is a blend of cultural heritage and contemporary living. With the client’s cultural background as our guiding inspiration, we embarked on a journey to create a sanctuary that celebrates tradition while embracing modernity. Overcoming the challenge of limited natural light, we seized the opportunity to infuse the space with brightness and warmth through innovative design elements. Hence we included Open to Sky (OTS) features and triple-height cut-outs. This meticulously designed private house encompasses 2 living rooms, 4 bedrooms, a multipurpose room, a mezzanine, kitchen, and dining area . Each of these spaces were thoughtfully crafted to enhance the living experience.

Key Elements
Open to Sky (OTS) Features: Embracing the northern orientation. We welcomed natural light into the heart of the house through strategically positioned OTS features. Hence, flooding the interiors with a sense of openness and vitality.
Triple-Height Cut-outs: Rising to an impressive height of 36 feet. The triple-height cutouts adorn the common areas. This further serves as conduits for light and ventilation while creating an awe-inspiring architectural focal point.
Spatial Organization: Upon entering the house, guests are greeted by a passage leading to a versatile multipurpose room. This overall sets the stage for exploration.
The living room, with its panoramic view of the mezzanine and OTS, serves as the central hub, connecting seamlessly to the dining area below and the kitchen beyond.
First Floor Tranquillity: Ascending to the first floor, a mid-landing mezzanine serves as a bridge between spaces, fostering connectivity and flow.
Here, the son’s bedroom exudes tranquility with its clean lines and uncluttered aesthetics. While, a living area and indoor garden with a circular OTS offer a verdant oasis of relaxation.
Master Bedroom Retreat: Nestled in the southwest corner for privacy, the master bedroom boasts minimalistic interiors, providing a serene retreat that aligns with the client’s vision.
Exquisite Guest Room: Sharing a wall with the indoor garden, the guest room captivates with its moulded walls and wardrobes, enveloped in a muted palette of grey and brown, evoking a sense of timeless elegance.
Second Floor Retreat: The journey culminates on the second floor, where another guest room awaits, providing a serene retreat amidst the bustling urban landscape. An open terrace offers panoramic views and a tranquil escape from the confines of the built environment.
Conclusion
By seamlessly blending cultural influences with innovative design solutions, this private house transcends its physical constraints, transforming into a haven of light, space, and tranquillity. From its thoughtful spatial layout to its meticulous attention to detail, every element of this residence reflects the client’s vision and aspirations, creating an inviting sanctuary for generations to come.
