We have designed this project in a Modern ArtDeco Parisian style with a hint of Scandinavian design. This eclectic mix is characterized by soft colour hues, symmetrical shapes and an artistic vision with manmade materials. It has a distinct design language. Our client lived in New York for most part of his life and wanted his place/weekend home to typically depict the modern art deco style native to the Brooklyn lofts there and hence the outcome is this amazing potpourri of two different styles.
Editor’s Note: Soft curves, enticing textures and a muted color palette stands out as a testament to the Scandinavian and modern art deco style of design. Interesting choice of colors for the furnishings compliment the design language. The sleek and minimal elements exude a classic deco look to add to the allure of this abode. ~ Simran Khare
A Modern ArtDeco Parisian Style With A Hint Of Scandinavian Design | Bageshree Shroff Interiors
The spatial planning for this 1200 sq.ft apartment is very dynamic where the living and dining area flow into the kitchen via sliding doors and sliding folding doors, thereby opening the apartment up in an open plan method for entertainment and parties.
The black PU outlined deco sliding doors, folding doors and door frame give the space a unique deco look. Light grey veneer cover the rest of the walls.
The dining chairs in various shades of rainbow bring colour to the grey-black dining table and the white sofa.
The teal and cream kitchen provides for a functional yet aesthetic space for parties and entertainment. We chosen deco black and white floor tiles to compliment the space.
We have chosen art that compliment the colours of the decor and panels from various artists like Digvijay Choudhary, Dharamehlotra etc.
The chevron wooden floor offsets the Parisian deco colours and panels in the living room beautifully.
The master bedroom flows into the master walk in via sliding doors which double space up and ultimately tucked in a surprise bathtub area.
The den / kids area can be doubled as a guest bedroom with a sofacum bed with a quirky red armoire from @thequirkworks.mumbai.
The powder toilet is a quirky surprise with a delicate burst of colour in the tiles which we have paired with complimentary green and grey tiles on the wall giving a person a sense of stepping into a modern garden.
