Spatial planning intertwined with a homely and divine design | Studio Espaazo

The linear house works wonders on spatial planning front and touches arenas that reminds us of simpler times.

The Linear House, strategically positioned on a narrow rectangular plot, presents a distinctive architectural challenge and opportunity. The constraints of a linear plot inherently limited the possibilities for spatial planning. The elongated layout was thoughtfully designed to optimize the linear configuration, ensuring that each room served a purpose without compromising on the functionality.

Editor’s Note: Although the “Linear House” has a pretty straightforward design, the impact it creates is immense. The beauty of the facade lies in the diagonal shadow patterns created by the nearby pergola, while the sun’s movement sets it in continuous motion until dusk. The glass railing creates a barrier-free visual that makes the volume light and airy. The minimal palette of greys, browns, and whites aligns with the simplicity of the design language. – Gopika Pramod

The careful alignment of spaces allowed for a seamless flow within the house, creating a sense of continuity.

With a sprawling 6000 sq.ft footprint, the house is meticulously crafted in adherence to Vastu Shastra principles, ensuring a harmonious living space. The elongated layout maximizes natural light exposure and ventilation in each room, fostering a bright and airy atmosphere.

The interior design reflects a commitment to bespoke craftsmanship, with every piece of furniture intricately hand-crafted on-site.

A subtle yet intriguing color palette graces the living spaces, incorporating nuanced details that add character. The heart of the design lies in its personalized approach, catering to the specific needs and preferences of each family member, resulting in a home that seamlessly blends functionality with aesthetics.
