  • This Villa House Layout Embraces Openness And Structure | Pathway Design Studio (PDS)

The project involves the design and construction of a modern residential villa that emphasizes functionality, comfort, and contemporary aesthetics. Contextualized in the suburbs of Ahmedabad city, the house balances open and semi-private spaces organized through thoughtful volumes and a grid system. The central open space serves as the heart of the design, connecting transitional spaces like passages with semi-private spaces like formal & informal halls. Oriented to the north, this villa house ensures an even diffusion of light through its openings, creating a serene and inviting ambiance in every part of the house.

Editor’s Note: “Embracing the open skies of Ahmedabad, ‘Anagh Residence’ unwinds in layers of light, shadow, and space. As sunlight streams through its courtyards and stairway, it creates patterns on the walls that evoke a sense of peace and time. Blurring the boundaries between indoors and nature, this villa breathes life into architecture.” ~ Anusha Sridhar
