Welcome to Hotel Karuna, an architectural marvel meticulously crafted by Ikshana Architects, led by principal architects Ar. Suraj Madure and Ar. Priya Bilagi. From its inception, the client’s vision was clear – they sought a structure that would not only be distinctive but also exude warmth and hospitality. With this directive in mind, the architects embarked on a mission to encapsulate the essence of Solapur – its rich heritage, vibrant history, and diverse cultural tapestry.
Inspired by the iconic Solapur Chaddar, renowned worldwide for its exquisite craftsmanship and quality, the architects envisioned a design that seamlessly integrated this local treasure into every aspect of the building.
Employing panels adorned with unique lighting designs for the exterior elevation, Hotel Karuna stands as a testament to architectural innovation. Thus captivating the attention of travellers and locals alike.
Stepping onto the hotel’s ground floor, guests are enveloped in an immersive experience that pays homage to Solapur’s artisanal legacy. The Solapur Chaddar takes centre stage, meticulously applied to the walls in an artistic display that showcases the region’s mastery of craft. The curvature of the ceiling, intricately crafted to harmonise with the interior ambience, evokes a sense of tradition and sophistication, setting the tone for the journey ahead.
Ascending to the first floor, guests are greeted by a narrative that unfolds through the strokes of a paintbrush. Here, paintings depicting Solapur’s storied past and vibrant culture adorn the walls. Moreover, transform the space into a gallery of local heritage. Each brushstroke serves as a testament to the seamless fusion of the client’s vision and the architect’s design ethos. Thus creating an atmosphere of cultural immersion and discovery.
In every detail, Hotel Karuna embodies the meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence that define Ikshana Architects. From the grandeur of its exterior to the intimate details of its interior, every element speaks to the soul of Solapur, inviting guests to embark on a journey of exploration and delight.
