Situated in the vibrant CBD Belapur area of Navi Mumbai, the Ganga Niwas Penthouse – a duplex house interior design by Studio Amalgam is an architectural statement that balances luxurious living with a deep respect for its environment. This duplex penthouse is thoughtfully designed to embrace the natural beauty of its surroundings, the calm backwaters and the anticipation of the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport. Further, offering residents a seamless connection between indoors and out.
The design philosophy prioritizes subtlety over grandeur, focusing on natural materials, layered textures, and neutral tones that bring warmth and a sense of calm to the space. Clean lines and refined details merge to create an atmosphere where each element feels intentional yet effortlessly integrated. The spatial planning reflects a sensitivity to the client’s lifestyle, emphasizing functionality without compromising aesthetic appeal. This home is not just a structure; it is a sanctuary where architecture listens to the site and responds with quiet luxury.
This Duplex House Interior Design Harmonises Luxury & Nature | Studio Amalgam
A striking entrance lobby sets the tone, with patterned handmade tiles, steel grey granite flooring, and a bespoke 10-ft veneer door featuring a lotus-inspired laser-cut jali. Cove lighting, brown mirrors, and natural textures help visually extend the narrow passage, blending function with elegance.
The living and dining areas are planned for both aesthetic balance and Vastu alignment. The black-tinted glass dining table and book matched tile-clad TV wall bring visual richness, while ripple-fold curtains and integrated music speakers soften the space.
Designed for efficiency, the kitchen features Brazilian White granite countertops, black fluted glass cabinets, and neatly organized under-counter storage. A glossy marble tile dado adds brightness to this compact space.
Concrete-finish tiles, subtle lighting, and PU-painted ceiling panels maximize visual appeal within a compact layout.
This bedroom pairs bold blue tones with warm wood finishes. A recessed TV unit, seamless dressing access, and brushed gold hardware create an atmosphere of quiet sophistication.
A luxurious blend of marble-look tiles, rose-gold Jaquar fittings, and backlit mirrors come together to elevate this private space.
This multi-use guest space is designed for adaptability, featuring a sofa-cum-bed, textured wardrobes, and a dedicated spiritual corner.
The staircase doubles as a sculptural element with steel grey granite cladding, BTC wood handrails, grazer lights, and organic art on the landings.
Tailored for the homeowners, this master suite features a Castleton green chesterfield headboard, integrated storage, and access to a private 400 sq. ft. terrace lounge.
Textured stone tiles, soft lighting, and thoughtful detailing make this a refined sanctuary.
Soft pastels, smart bookshelf niches, a Corian-finished bed, and a cozy window seat with views of the airport personalize this space beautifully.
An all-weather space with in-built granite seating, a small pantry, and a bar area. Ideal for relaxed entertaining or family dinners.
Open-Air Deck with Scenic Views. This wrap-around terrace offers a 360-degree view of the airport and backwaters. With granite seating, weatherproof finishes, floral accents, and ambient cove lighting, the space is crafted as an everyday retreat.
The penthouse is a reflection of Studio Amalgam’s sensitive design approach. Where traditional Indian craftsmanship meets modern expression. The design team balances handmade tiles, laser-cut jalis, and warm wood finishes with clean lines and soft transitions. While they incorporate subtle nods to modernist design, through fluid spaces, ample natural light, and material restraint, the site, the brief, and the studio’s vision uniquely shape the final outcome.
