“The sky’s ever-changing canvas, painted with hues of blues at dawn and greys and blacks at dusk, seamlessly weaves itself into the very fabric of this home’s architecture and interior.” Located in a comparatively narrow lane of bungalow plots, this modern exterior house design borrows its modern straight-line form and color from the sky. A clean straight line contemporary language coupled with free standing walls as planes along with vertical and horizontal slits define the exterior geometry of the bungalow.
This Bungalow Is A Poetic Take On Modern Exterior House Design | Sparc Design
A metal and stone screen adds volume and enhances the height of the façade. Granite louvered details create an interesting light and shadow pattern in the interior spaces along with adding dynamism and a sense of movement.
As one steps through the main entrance, the design draws the gaze along the entire 60-foot length of the home, ultimately converging it at a striking sculptural wall at the far end.
The central expanse of the home features a flooring of Honey Blue granite, complemented by a linear lighting fixture that gracefully traverses the space.
Here, these design elements establish a compelling visual continuity. Further, effectively magnifies the perceived size and spaciousness of the area, making it feel expansive and inviting.
The exterior screen creates a captivating interplay of light and shadow within the Living room. Thereafter, a palette of greys, blacks, and blues lends the entire home a tranquil ambiance, while the addition of soft acacia wood infuses warmth and a cozy, hygge atmosphere.
The louvered details seamlessly extend from the exterior to the entrance, establishing a harmonious design language throughout. Sparc Design has customized the center table and rugs.
The Staircase within the home transforms into a captivating sculptural masterpiece. Crafted from durable ferrocrete and adorned with a celestial sky blue micro-topping finish, its treads stretch horizontally, seamlessly melding with the ceiling, thereby eliminating the necessity for a handrail.
Connected to the central spine of the home are the Dining and Kitchen spaces. The team has crafted the artwork and table to match the aesthetic of the house, along with the metal light fitting installation. The dining table houses a section detail for additional small accessories, as the language blends with the exterior and interior décor of the home.
The sitting space with customized furniture pieces overlooks the double-height space, along with the 12-foot metal light installation created for the living room.
The team has extensively used granite to detail the furniture elements in the project. Moreover, the bed back in the Master bedroom is black lapato granite, and the side tables are detailed in granite as well.
In the storage area, the team uses granite as a separator detail tilted at an angle. Furthermore, they create the bed detail by joining a horizontal and vertical member to form a distinctive leg feature.
A rock-textured wall becomes the backdrop in the Sons’ bedroom. Here, the bed appears to float, and the composition is completed by the addition of a statement side lamp.
The bed back detail elegantly extends on the wardrobe shutters while an indigo blue niche becomes a display for curios and artefacts. Moreover, the chair and rug are customized by Sparc Design.
The key element in the Parents’ room is a molded bed with a unique bed back design. The room’s aesthetics are skillfully balanced by statement powder blue handles. Further adding a touch of elegance and coherence to the overall decor.
A fusion of pure color, minimalist modern design, and a dynamic interplay of lines, volumes, and hues weaves a narrative that unites every element in this project. Hence, creating a compelling and cohesive story to be told.
