This Boutique Baking Studio is Influenced by Bauhaus interiors | Cubet Design Studio

We used eclectic design style with an influence of Bauhaus interiors. Pear and Walnut is a boutique baking brand founded by a Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef with a passion for elevated, artistic baking. As the brand continues to grow, a new studio space was conceived, designed not just as a workplace, but as a deeply personal and creative environment. The full studio comprises four key zones: a kitchen, a storage/staff area, the workshop, and an office space. Our design intervention focused on the most creative core of the studio, the workshop and the office space (fondly referred to as “the den”), along with the adjoining bathrooms.

Editor’s Note: “Pear and Walnut pays homage to their artistic baking with its eclectic design and pop of colours. It is a studio shaped with Bauhaus charm and personal warmth. More than just a workspace, it’s a quiet den for dreaming. Here, every corner reflects the baker’s journey. Thoughtful, calm, and full of light, it’s a space where design celebrates art.” ~Rajvi Dedakiy

The Workshop Space

This is the heart of Pear and Walnut. A multifunctional zone, it serves as the primary area for cake assembly, hands-on baking, intimate workshops, and high-quality content creation.

The space is layered with thoughtful details that support both craft and storytelling. From robust work surfaces to lighting calibrated for photography and filming.

An adjacent wall-housed storage unit holds the chef’s personal library of cookery books, a quiet nod to her Le Cordon Bleu roots and evolving culinary inspirations.

The Den

Tucked away from the bustling kitchen energy, the den acts as a sanctuary for reflection and idea generation. It features a workstation where the baker sketches cake concepts, experiments with design details, and brainstorms new recipes. A small sofa nook and coffee station bring warmth to the space, creating a comfortable corner to pause, reflect, and recharge.

Our approach was to translate the baker’s creative rhythm into a physical environment, one that feels intuitive, inspiring, and deeply personal. The result is a studio that doesn’t just support the process, but celebrates it.
