The Konkan Railway Station Precinct Development project focuses on the revitalization of four key railway stations in the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra—Kankavli, Sindhudurg, Kudal, and Sawantwadi. This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Public Works Department (P.W.D) and Konkan Railways, aimed at enhancing the functionality, aesthetics, and local relevance of each station’s outside precinct area.

To take inspiration from airport terminals by creating distinct zones for arrivals, departures, and transfers. Include clear signage and intuitive navigation to make the space user-friendly. Creating a railway station with the level of convenience and design typically found in airports in terms of traffic segregation and management.
