The Curved Ceilings Of This Office Stands As A Testament To Unconventional Design | SGA +IKS

In the heart of a bustling city, a 500 sq. ft. office space breaks away from traditional rectangular layouts, embracing a circular design that seamlessly integrates curves into every corner. This modern office with curved ceilings, designed by SGA+IKS, is a testament to the power of unconventional design to create inspiring and functional workspaces.

The client’s brief narrated the requirement of a unique office with a vibrant and dynamic environment. Triggering the office’s striking circular layout immediately, drawing the eye to its central point. A tight space with a list of long requirements, this design choice not only creates a sense of openness and fluidity but also fosters collaboration and communication among team members. Design philosophy is a subtle flow of calm colors and efficient designs. The absence of sharp corners and straight lines promotes a relaxed and creative atmosphere, encouraging innovative thinking and teamwork.

Curved Elements and Harmonious Flow

As the entry was a narrow, dull-lit passage, it was beautifully clad with MCM clay sheet toned with vibrant terracotta tone and a custom-made hanging profile light. Additionally, artistic Lord Ganesha wall art welcomes entry to the office. As one approaches the reception, a whimsical flow of curves in the ceiling, furniture, as well as the whole partition, soothes our vision.

The main chamber is placed where the whole office can be clearly monitored. One of a kind, the puja wall unit is crafted thoughtfully in an interesting way. However, the use of curves is evident throughout the office, from the gentle curves of the walls to the rounded edges of the furniture.

This harmonious flow of lines creates a visually appealing and ergonomic space. The curved desks, for instance, offer a comfortable and supportive workspace, while the curved seating areas provide inviting spaces for informal discussions and brainstorming sessions.

Natural Light and Airy Ambiance

The office is bathed in natural light, thanks to the large windows that curve along the perimeter. Moreover, this abundance of light creates a bright and airy atmosphere. Thus, reducing the need for artificial lighting and promoting a sense of well-being among occupants.
