  • Golden Accents Stand Out in the Interiors of This Noida Bungalow | Axiom Design Studio

This southwest-facing bungalow, with golden accents in its interiors, is a refined expression of contextual and climate-responsive modern architecture. The home embraces its orientation with an intelligent façade design that balances aesthetic appeal and environmental performance. With the sun’s harshest rays hitting the structure in the latter half of the day, the architects incorporated a system of sliding and folding louvred screens. This not only works as a shading strategy but also as a defining visual element of the building’s character.

    Facade Design

The color palette is deliberately composed to reflect both warmth and sophistication. Earthy tones dominate the exterior, with natural wood finishes contrasting beautifully against soft concrete-textured surfaces and dark metal framing. This juxtaposition of warm wooden hues, cool greys, and matte blacks lends the house a timeless yet contemporary edge. The material choices create a sense of calm resilience while complementing the green foliage surrounding the site. As the day transitions, the changing light enhances the interplay of tones and textures, giving the building a dynamic and ever-evolving façade.

    Design Language

The design language of the house is rooted in clean lines, functional forms, and a strong sense of balance. A rectilinear massing is articulated with setbacks, cantilevers, and terraces that create pockets of open space for natural ventilation.

    Privacy Redefined

The large openings are strategically placed behind the screen system, ensuring privacy while allowing filtered light to wash the interiors. At night, concealed LED lighting accentuates the architectural edges and adds a soft glow to the structure, reinforcing its sculptural quality.

    Entrance

The grand entry is designed as a bold architectural statement—welcoming yet commanding. A cantilevered volume in earthy tones, paired with sleek metal cladding and slender columns, defines the entrance with a strong visual presence.

    Living Room

Double-height glazing reveals a dramatic chandelier installation, creating a warm and inviting glow visible from the street. The material palette—textured concrete, natural stone, and glass—strikes a balance between robustness and elegance.

    Blurring Boundaries

To blur the boundaries, soft landscaping and ambient lighting frame the entry court. A large glass door offers glimpses of the interiors. This entryway sets the tone for the home—modern, refined, and unapologetically grand.

    Central Courtyard with Staircase

The sweeping staircase forms the architectural heart of the home that not only connects levels but elevates the entire experience. Crafted in natural wood with clean curves and slender metal balustrades, it exudes quiet elegance and lightness.

    Staircase

Above, a dramatic vertical cut-out crowned with a skylight floods the space with natural light. This creates a constantly shifting play of shadows along the textured wall. The linear niches, softly backlit, add rhythm and depth, while the cascading chandelier reinforces the vertical drama of the volume.

    Dining Area

An open-plan dining area is thoughtfully connected to the main kitchen, creating a fluid spatial experience. This helps promote a visual continuity as well as functional efficiency. Anchored by a circular dining table, the space is designed for effortless gatherings. A dedicated service counter highlighted with golden accents supports quick and easy dining service without disrupting the flow.

    Dual Kitchen

Behind the scenes, a separate oily kitchen ensures that heavy cooking is tucked away from the main living zones. This also keeps the formal kitchen pristine and uncluttered. A dual-kitchen strategy balances everyday convenience with hospitality-grade functionality, ideal for both intimate family meals and larger social occasions.

The proximity of the kitchen to the dining and living areas encourages interaction while maintaining spatial clarity—making it a perfect blend of openness, organization, and understated luxury bathed in golden accents.

    Seating Space on Second Floor

Nestled between the bedrooms, this intimate seating nook serves as the heart of the home—a quiet, welcoming space where the family can come together.

Soft beige sofas and a plush armchair embrace you in comfort, while the layered coffee table anchors the room with modern elegance. Sunlight streams in through tall, sheer-draped windows, thereupon casting a warm glow that makes the space feel open yet tranquil.

    Thoughtful Design

Thoughtful details, like the monochrome checkered cushions and the bold sculptural golden accents, in fact add a touch of personality without disturbing the calm palette. Whether it’s for a morning coffee, an evening movie, or late-night conversations, this cozy corner offers the perfect balance of style, comfort, and togetherness.

    Bedrooms

    Furniture: A Perfect Blend

The furniture design in this home exemplifies a perfect harmony between luxurious comfort, while being maintaining practicality and striking aesthetics. Every piece features soft, rounded edges with no sharp corners, thus ensuring a safe environment without compromising on sophistication. While being upholstered in durable, stain-resistant fabrics that require minimal upkeep, these furnishings are ideal for modern living—effortlessly combining ease with elegance. The strategic use of a bold accent color, such as a rich burnt orange, and golden accents breathes life and energy into the neutral-toned rooms, creating dynamic visual interest and a welcoming atmosphere. This thoughtful approach to furniture not only uplifts the overall design but also promotes a serene, clutter-free environment where form and function coexist beautifully.

    Basement Recreational Area

The basement is more than just an extension of the home—it’s a complete sensory retreat, designed to feel like a destination in itself. Departing from the light, airy palette of the upper floors, this space embraces earthy warmth, tactile materials, and moody lighting, simultaneously crafting it into an immersive recreational experience.

    Warm Interiors

A bold exposed brick wall anchors the room, thus infusing it with a rustic edge that contrasts beautifully with the sleek modernity of the furnishings. The coffered wooden ceiling elevates the space, adding depth and richness while enhancing the cosy acoustics ideal for gatherings or personal downtime.

    Bar Area

At its heart lies a custom-designed bar, featuring a textured stone back and a simultaneously illuminated shelving that showcases a curated collection of spirits and decor. Presently paired with plush circular loungers and an oversized sectional, this space invites everything from lively evenings with friends to serene solo moments.

    Recreational Area

Soft lighting, layered textures, and carefully zoned seating make this area feel intimate yet expansive, a hidden gem within the home, thus perfect for entertainment, unwinding, or celebrating life’s best moments in style.

    Connecting Spaces

Opening directly onto a beautifully curated terrace, the first-floor drawing room is evidently a perfect blend of luxury and liveability. The full-height sliding glass doors dissolve boundaries between inside and outside, therefore allowing lush greenery and soft daylight to become part of the interior experience.

    Sustainability in the Core

This seamless connection not only enhances natural ventilation and thermal comfort but also brings a calming biophilic quality to the space. Whether its morning sunlight filtering through or cool evening breezes flowing in, the terrace acts as a quiet retreat—integrating nature into daily living with understated elegance.
