TAD proudly presents GEN BOLD III, capturing the pulse of India’s Interior Design landscape. More than a celebration of bold design, it strives to make a statement that encourages creativity and courage. Featuring interior designers who unapologetically push against the tide of trends, rewrite rules, and embrace their voice.
Boldness takes many forms, loud, extravagant, and maximal. But it also reveals itself in quieter, more deliberate ways, through deeply intentional choices that speak volumes without shouting. The boldness of these designers here is layered, from reviving Indian crafts in modern spaces to innovating with technology. Their stories reflect not only professional triumphs but also a personal journey of becoming bold in the face of doubt. Moreover, this collection is a mirror of the moment we are in.
A moment where India’s interior design scene is no longer waiting to be discovered. Through this new wave of commanding design, they bridge gaps between heritage and futurism, past and possibility. As you flip through these pages, we invite you to engage with boldness. As a way of thinking, living, and designing with intent. To question, to experiment, to design spaces that hold space for what matters. It challenges us to create spaces not just for style, but for soul. Spaces that breathe with those who inhabit them. Spaces that hold space for identity, sustainability, joy, and above all, a sense of belonging. The future is not waiting. It’s already here, and it looks brilliantly bold. This is GEN BOLD.
DR&W is a Mumbai-based studio with a young team of design professionals with varied interests in fashion, products, philanthropy, and academic research, all of which feed into its design practice, enriching it with perspectives that make its spaces rich in experience and nuanced in detail. At the intersection of thought and creation lies a pursuit both delicate and bold hand tracing the unseen, lines. The act of drawing is not merely a means to an end but a process, rigorous yet deeply satiating, where joy is not only in what is made, but in the making itself.
At DR&W, drawing is more than a tool of communication. It is an exploration of the intimate relationship between body and space, object and memory. The practice moves fluidly through architecture, interiors, landscape, furniture, and research, weaving the physical with the emotional. “Through a lens of thoughtful design and rigorous research, we push boundaries, inviting discourse and experimentation in every project,” says Jay Shah.
Madhuri Reddy Architects is an architecture and interior design studio founded by Ar. Madhuri Reddy. She is passionate about creating spaces that positively engage with nature. The studio’s mantra is designing functional, long-lasting spaces rather than chasing short-lived trends. They believe bold design is the bridge between people and their environment, and this approach is guided by staying true to context. Embracing individuality, and celebrating uniqueness in every project. Inspired by Indian architecture with its materiality, techniques, and timeless wisdom, Madhuri Reddy Architects draws strength from tradition in its design approach.
They believe luxury depends not on the scale of a project or expensive materials. But on sensitivity, purpose, and thoughtful design. Every project is envisioned as an opportunity to design spaces that reflect the client’s identity, aspirations, and way of life. For Madhuri and her team, design is one of the most powerful tools for connecting people with their surroundings. By balancing function with imagination and tradition with innovation, the studio strives to create environments that are lived in and truly loved.
Parthavi’s bold design approach is deeply rooted in her belief that spaces should be adaptable and transitional. Weaving together her global experiences and influences with local craftsmanship, sensitively, remains her strength. This allows her to create bespoke designs: Interiors +Architecture, that are both functional and timeless. A graduate of the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), Parthavi’s journey as a designer was shaped by her experiences in diverse creative environments. Particularly a transformative summer spent in Denmark, a country revered for its minimalist design and emphasis on functionality. It was here that she honed her philosophy: Design goes beyond mere aesthetics; it’s a transformative tool that shapes how we engage with the world. Spaces should be adaptive, growing with the needs and aspirations of their inhabitants. They are dynamic environments that grow and evolve with the inhabitants.

This helps them prototype ideas, test materials, and push the boundaries of customisation, including furniture, lighting, objects, and installations. Ensuring that each space feels unmistakably distinct and in sync with the user. Logic designs with longevity in mind, honouring the intrinsic character of materials while creating environments that evolve gracefully over time.
Studio Amaavi’s bold design philosophy is rooted in the belief that interiors should go beyond style to become living reflections of the people they serve. A well-designed space is not just seen, it is felt. It shapes daily rituals, nurtures emotions, and quietly supports a meaningful way of life. For them, design begins with empathy. Listening deeply to a client’s needs, observing how they move through space, and understanding their unspoken desires allows them to create interiors that feel natural and personal.
They value simplicity and authenticity, believing that clarity in bold design brings calm to the mind. Each choice whether of material, form, or detail must serve both beauty and purpose. They are drawn to timelessness over trend, and to balance over excess. Natural light, thoughtful textures, and a harmony of proportions form the foundation of their work. Sustainability and respect for context are not afterthoughts but essential parts of the process. Ultimately, their practice stands for interiors that breathe, spaces that evolve with their inhabitants, uplift the everyday, and hold meaning.
At AB Design, the studio has always believed that design is deeply personal. An expression of identity and vision in every detail. The joy of transforming stories into environments that feel natural, warm, and effortless is what drives the team. They bring together elegance and comfort, weaving in thoughtful details that make everyday living simpler, while creating designs that grow gracefully with time. Through experience, they have come to understand that design is not merely about trends or perfection. It is about balance, emotion, and authenticity. The studio’s focus remains constant: to craft spaces that nurture genuine connections and enrich the way people experience and enjoy their surroundings.
In Noorein Kapoor’s world, interiors are never merely spaces; they are living stories, each meticulously composed yet effortlessly personal. Her work is a study in contrasts: understated luxury paired with vibrant character, functional layouts infused with soulful warmth, and contemporary forms. Every project unfolds like a narrative, where textures, light, and materiality are carefully orchestrated. Kapoor’s signature lies in her ability to harmonize individuality with elegance. A quiet palette may be punctuated with bespoke furnishings, tactile surfaces, or curated art. Bold textures are tempered by subtle restraint. Whether it’s an office that inspires creativity, a home that breathes life through color and craft. Or a serene retreat that soothes the senses, each space is a reflection of those who inhabit it.

At The Concept Lab, the interior design practice stands for arches, curves, and waves, a language of design that brings softness, fluidity, and timeless elegance to every space it creates. The studio believes that the beauty of a space lies in its seamless flow, where rigid lines give way to organic forms that invite comfort and visual harmony. Rather than sharp edges and straight lines, its designs focus on graceful curves and gentle arches, allowing spaces to feel more open, welcoming, and effortlessly stylish.
The studio’s philosophy is rooted in the idea that interiors should not just be functional but should also evoke emotion and inspire a sense of well-being. Curves and waves help break the monotony of conventional design, creating a dynamic rhythm throughout the space while enhancing light, movement, and spatial perception. Each project undertaken is a unique journey, where the studio thoughtfully blends aesthetics with purpose, creating spaces that are not just visually appealing but also intuitively livable. At The Concept Lab, the studio designs with passion, care, and an eye for detail, turning every project into a harmonious expression of art and functionality.
