  • Architectural Innovations for Reshaping Residential Spaces by Shruti Dimri| Anagram Architects

In this episode of TAD Originals, we delve into architectural innovations for reshaping residential spaces by Shruti Dimri, Principal Architect at Anagram Architects, New Delhi. Join us as we explore two remarkable projects that redefine residential living: a single-family home and a housing complex for the masters of a prestigious school.

The Red House with a Twist

    Project 1: A Multigenerational Haven

    residential spaces by anagram architects

The first project is a testament to unconventional thinking and client-centric design for residential spaces. Set on a sprawling 10,000 square ft plot, this single-family home is anything but ordinary. Picture this: a football field in the backyard, a sloping roof reminiscent of childhood drawings, and a slide connecting the floors. The clients, a family of four plus grandparents, envisioned a space that nurtures family bonds and fosters outdoor play.

From the initial briefing, it was clear that this wasn’t going to be your typical residence. The clients emphasized three key elements: a football field, a sloping roof, and a slide. Anagram Architects rose to the challenge, transforming these dreams into architectural marvels.

    Crafting Spaces with Purpose

The design process was a collaborative journey, with the architects closely involving the family at every step. The result? A home that reflects their values and lifestyle choices. Gone are the conventional living rooms and gadget-filled bedrooms. Instead, the focus is on open spaces for family gatherings and minimalist interiors devoid of distractions.

    Innovations in Master Housing

Project 2: Masters’ Housing at Dun School

    residential spaces

The second project takes us to Dun School, where tradition meets modernity. Anagram Architects’ masterstroke lies in blending contemporary design with the school’s rich heritage. The Masters’ Housing, built in 2015, stands as a testament to timeless architecture.

With every project, Anagram Architects pushes the boundaries of design, challenging conventions and redefining spaces. From multigenerational homes to institutional housing, their portfolio is a testament to creativity and innovation in architecture.

Join us next time as we continue to explore the fascinating world of architectural wonders. Until then, keep dreaming, keep innovating!
