We are excited to share with you a new residential project by Weespaces, a Bangalore-based design studio helmed by Vinithra Amarnathan. Crafted as a final culmination place after the homeowner’s years of living in many different countries, this home echoes a modern, casual Californian hacienda that meets a simple earthy aesthetic and Indian rootedness.
An Earthy Aesthetic And Classic Forms Characterise This Minimal New Home In Bengaluru | Weespaces
Rooted in classic forms and wrapped in a palette of warm earth tones, the home exudes a laid-back elegance that speaks of comfort and timelessness. True to Weespaces’ signature style, the design maintains a clean, minimal, and thoughtfully restrained approach, yet it radiates character through layers of materiality, texture, and craft. The soft archways, harlequin tiles, and generous use of wood bring in the spirit of a modern hacienda, while Indian sensibilities emerge through the use of handmade patterns, woven textiles, and subtle traditional detailing.
The split-level layout enhances the sense of openness and flow within the home. The ground floor accommodates the formal living area, a cozy informal lounge, an expansive living and dining space that encourages family gatherings, a large functional kitchen, and a welcoming guest room. The upper level houses the private quarters — serene bedrooms that evoke calm, and intimate corners that allow pause and reflection.
Every corner of this home tells its own story. Some of the standout features include the framed mural wall that forms the focal point of the formal living room. The wooden swing suspended gracefully in the family area, the sage green kitchen balances freshness and functionality. A stairway adorned with patterned tiles celebrates craftsmanship. The master bedroom opens to a private sit-out, offering a quiet retreat filled with natural light. It is a perfect reflection of the home’s philosophy of easy living, rooted luxury, and emotional warmth bathed in an earthy aesthetic.
