Our client envisioned a timeless bungalow style home characterized by expansive rooms flooded with natural light and ventilation. With a deep-rooted belief in Vaastu principles, the client emphasized adherence to these principles in the design of their home. Additionally, the client expressed a desire for the residence to exude grandeur, commanding attention within its surroundings.

    Mediterranean Style of Architecture

The design concept embraces the timeless elegance of the Mediterranean style architecture. However, honoring the client’s deep-seated belief in Vastu principles, the concept of “shoonya” is central to the design philosophy. “Shoonya” dictates that the central-most zone of the building must remain unoccupied, ensuring a sense of openness and balance.

    Bungalow Style Home

To adhere to this principle, the central axis of the building is intentionally left vacant. Thus serving as a spacious lobby area that acts as the heart of the home. This central void not only fosters a sense of connection and continuity throughout the residence but also facilitates direct visual engagement.

    Thoughtfully Curated Spaces

Furthermore, all other spaces within the home are thoughtfully connected via this central axis, promoting fluid movement and interaction between different areas. To enhance the sense of grandeur befitting the client’s vision, double-height spaces and architectural elements are strategically integrated, imparting a majestic ambiance to the bungalow’s interior.

    Bungalow Style Home

The design process for the bungalow began with a focus on creating a grand entrance. The main entryway features an impressive double-height porch towering at 22′, designed to provide a sense of grandeur upon arrival. Embracing a European aesthetic, the porch boasts a gracefully arched ceiling adorned with an exquisite chandelier. It is furthermore, elevating the welcoming ambience.

    Foyer

From the entrance, attention is drawn to the foyer, located in a separate block and clad in natural stone to accentuate the sense of arrival. This foyer serves as the gateway to the double-height lobby, leading seamlessly into the spacious drawing room.

The ground floor layout is meticulously planned to accommodate essential living spaces, including a master bedroom suite, a guest room, a puja room, and a well-connected kitchen and dining area.

    Kitchen

Intelligent subdivision creates distinct zones in the kitchen, including the main kitchen, washing area, and spice kitchen, with direct access from the outside lawn for the convenience of household staff.

    Master Bedroom

The master bedroom features a dressing area with dual access doors leading to the ensuite bathroom and walk-in wardrobes. Every room and lobby on the ground floor opens out into verdant green zones, blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces and fostering a harmonious connection with nature.

    Bungalow Style Home

Centrally air-conditioned, the bungalow ensures year-round comfort, while the generous 12′ slab height imparts a sense of grandeur to the interior spaces.

    Bungalow Style Home

    First Floor

Ascending to the first floor via the expansive staircase area, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding paddy fields through double-height glass, reveals three additional bedrooms, each with access to balconies overlooking lush greenery.

    Bungalow Style Home

The second floor features a home theatre and gym area, dedicated to recreational activities. Separate servant and utility zones at the rear of the second floor ensure privacy and security for the residents.

    Bungalow Style Home

    Façade Design

The elevation design incorporates double-height wood-clad arches and stone balusters, exuding timeless elegance. Natural stone and intricate stone grills enhance the aesthetic appeal, while European-style wall lamps illuminate the exterior, creating a captivating ambience after dusk. Meticulously cast mouldings add further refinement to the architectural detailing, culminating in a residence that seamlessly blends sophistication with functionality and natural beauty.
