When the toilets in my Brier home stopped flushing, I needed the house to work again. Septic Solutions LLC pumped both compartments of my tank, and that dealt with the immediate backup. But the team also recommended further work on the drainfield. I scheduled that work for about two and a half months later. By the return visit, the tank was almost full again.
That sequence is the reason my review is about more than an emergency pump-out. The useful part of the service was finding out why wastewater kept collecting in the tank, then developing a repair that also respected what I wanted to keep in my yard.
My system dated to 1975, and its previous service had been approximately 15 years earlier. At the return visit, the problem was liquid backing up because the drainfield was not accepting flow properly. A second pump-out was part of the work, but it could not be the whole answer.
I value that distinction. An immediate improvement inside the house matters, especially when the toilets have stopped working. Still, an improvement after pumping does not explain the condition of everything downstream. The recommendation to investigate further gave the service a purpose beyond repeating the same operation whenever the symptoms returned.
Company owner Art Nikolin describes a similar principle in his approach to customers: explain the problem and the available repair rather than treat every call as a chance to sell the largest possible replacement. That is the kind of advice I want when the equipment is underground and I cannot assess it myself.
Roots had broken down the concrete distribution box, the junction that sends wastewater toward the drainfield. Fragments had traveled into the lines and accumulated at bends. Camera inspection helped reveal the obstruction.
What makes that finding meaningful to me is how it connects the separate symptoms. The tank filling again was not simply another maintenance date arriving early. There was a damaged component affecting the rest of the system. A repair needed to address the source of the debris as well as its effect on the pipes.
Septic Solutions emphasizes documenting work with photographs and records. For a homeowner, that approach makes a difficult discussion more concrete: the issue can be explained through the condition of identifiable components rather than an unexplained recommendation to spend more money. It also leaves a history that can help make sense of future service.
I did not want the large stump near the tank removed. The crew used the system’s as-built records to relocate the distribution box, then flushed and repaired the affected drainfield sections. The work restored the system.
This was the strongest part of the experience for me. My preference about the yard became a constraint to solve around. The response was a different layout supported by the system records, rather than treating removal of the stump as the only possible route.
That care has an environmental dimension as well as a practical one. Restoring wastewater distribution and avoiding unnecessary exploratory digging are concrete actions. I find those more persuasive than a broad promise that any underground repair can have no impact on a property.
I would recommend Septic Solutions for the combination of investigation, explanation, and attention to the property. Pumping addressed the immediate need; the later diagnosis explained why it had not been a lasting solution. The repair then dealt with the damaged distribution point and the affected lines together.
My experience also changed how I judge a service visit. Working toilets are essential, but I want to understand what was found, what remains to be done, and why the recommendation fits my system. A contractor who makes those distinctions clear gives me a better basis for deciding what to do next. In this case, that is what makes the work worth recommending.
