The designers conceived each element of this sculptural house—be it the built form, the gardens, or the carefully curated interiors—not in isolation, but as part of a larger, living ecosystem. This is a residence that invites pause, engages the senses, and gently redefines what it means to live close to the land.
The design of the sculptural house is a masterclass in restraint and spatial harmony. The architects lay out angular forms with clean, contemporary lines across the site as a series of sculptural volumes—each grounding into the earth yet appearing light in their presence.
The use of raw stone, exposed brick, lime-washed walls, and timber accents gives the sculptural house a natural materiality. It allows them to sit in quiet dialogue with the land. Rather than overpowering the site, the architecture steps back, letting the landscape lead the experience.
The designers do not just design the outdoor spaces—they compose them. The planting strategy avoids symmetry and manicured order; instead, it celebrates wild, natural growth. The landscapers place native trees and shrubs in free-flowing formations that mimic the randomness of forest clearings and village edges. Pathways emerge organically, curving around soft mounds and leading to small courtyards, water bodies, and open lounging decks.
At the center of this curated wilderness sits a dramatic sculptural installation set within a circular radial courtyard—anchoring the space with a sense of calm monumentality. The placement of the sculpture reinforces the idea that the outdoors here are as intentional as the architecture itself.
One of the defining characteristics of this retreat is the way light and air move through it. Full-height glass doors, louvered openings, skylights, and courtyards ensure that natural light floods every space throughout the day. The architecture creates gentle thresholds rather than hard boundaries between indoors and out.
Whether you stand in a bedroom, lounge in the living area, or walk through the hallway, the landscape always connects you, with trees framed in your view, the sky reflected around you, and the sound of rustling palms becoming part of the interior experience.
Inside, the design language draws from Indian craft traditions while remaining firmly contemporary. Arched niches, patterned insets, and intricately detailed panels reference local design heritage, while the furniture and finishes remain minimal and calming.
Every room—from the bedrooms to the living areas—offers a tactile, quiet luxury. Warm wooden ceilings, terrazzo flooring, and textured upholstery create a palette that is grounded yet refined. The result is a home that feels culturally rooted without being nostalgic.
This retreat isn’t only designed for solitude—it’s designed for living. Multiple leisure pockets are woven into the larger narrative: a resort-style pool with a shaded bar pavilion, a glass-wrapped gym looking out onto the green, shaded verandas for outdoor dining, and soft lawns for gatherings.
Each zone has its own identity but remains visually and spatially connected to the larger site. By day, the space is drenched in light and vibrant greenery. By night, it transforms—landscape lighting reveals the textures of stone and foliage, and the entire residence becomes an ambient haven of warmth and reflection.

It’s a residence, yes—but it is also a story of how architecture can slow you down, pull you back into nature, and create a deeper relationship with place.
