  • GenBold II – The Designers Redefining India’s Interior Landscape

TAD proudly presents GEN BOLD II, capturing the pulse of India’s Interior Design landscape. More than a celebration of design, it strives to make a statement that encourages creativity and courager. Featuring interior designers who unapologetically push against the tide of trends, rewrite rules, and embrace their voice.

Boldness takes many forms, loud, extravagant, and maximal. But it also reveals itself in quieter, more deliberate ways, through deeply intentional choices that speak volumes without shouting. The boldness of these designers here is layered, from reviving Indian crafts in modern spaces to innovating with technology. Their stories reflect not only professional triumphs but also a personal journey of becoming bold in the face of doubt. Moreover, this collection is a mirror of the moment we are in.

A moment where India’s interior design scene is no longer waiting to be discovered. Through this new wave of commanding design, they bridge gaps between heritage and futurism, past and possibility, which makes their work richly textured and deeply human. As you flip through these pages, we invite you to engage with boldness not as a visual aesthetic alone, but as a mindset. As a way of thinking, living, and designing with intent. To question, to experiment, to design spaces that hold space for what matters. It challenges us to create spaces not just for style, but for soul. Spaces that breathe with those who inhabit them. Spaces that hold space for identity, sustainability, joy, and above all, a sense of belonging. The future is not waiting. It’s already here, and it looks brilliantly bold. This is GEN BOLD.

At The Auburn Studio, design is more than aesthetics; it’s an emotional experience. They believe that every space should tell a story, grounded in context and layered with meaning. Their work lies at the intersection of restraint and richness, where minimalism meets materiality, and every detail is intentional. Led by Sushmitha Ramesh, their practice is rooted in empathy. They begin by deeply understanding the lives, routines, and aspirations of their clients. From there, they craft spaces that are not only visually compelling but also deeply personal. Whether it’s a home infused with cultural memory or a space that quietly breaks convention, they approach every project with curiosity and care. Their aesthetic leans toward warmth, earthy palettes, natural textures, and soulful tactility.

Multitude of Sins is a modern creative studio, focusing on creative stylistic designs, creative direction, & visual execution for residential, commercial & public spaces. They have an irrepressible urge for creative freedom, curiosity, a desire to explore, and the courage to combine the seemingly irreconcilable. Their approach disregards the tendency to have a consistent style running through their projects, and they see each project as an opportunity to engage with a different personality, to test a new material, to work with a new palette, or to collaborate with a new artisan or an expert. This sense of flux is also the life force of the studio. As much as they have a penchant for unusual & unconnected themes – vintage circus, burlesque, dystopian, fantastical – their client is front & center at what they do at MOS.

They don’t believe in cookie-cutter interiors. Each home they create is tailored to the people living in it, ensuring that it reflects their lifestyle and story. Her design journey didn’t begin in a design school or a studio but while traveling and especially during a two-year stay in Italy. Surrounded by a culture that is rich in art and design, she found herself increasingly drawn to the smallest design details. What began as a casual fascination became something deeper, a pull that she couldn’t ignore. Eventually, that pull led her to make a major shift: she left a career in education and ed-tech to pursue design full-time. Now, she is living her dream through Studio Primrose by creating desirable homes that reflect the unique personalities and tastes of their clients.
