  • The Spatial Design And A Flexible Layout Of This Residence Allows Its Spaces To Evolve | Chhabra Architects

    [Sassy_Social_Share]

The core design concept revolves around transparency and adaptability. The building features open-plan interiors with modular walls and flexible layout, allowing spaces to evolve with the users’ needs. The façade integrates smart aluminium panels that can be responsive to the sun heat, reducing heat gain and minimizing the need for artificial lighting.

The Spatial Design And A Flexible Layout Of This Residence Allows Its Spaces To Evolve | Chhabra Architects

    flexible layout

Architecturally, the design draws inspiration from modernist principles — clean lines, minimal ornamentation, and an emphasis on function — while integrating contemporary materials and digital design techniques.

Prefabrication played a key role in the construction process, reducing on-site waste and speeding up completion. However, challenges arose in sourcing sustainable materials locally and in training labor to handle the precision assembly required for the façade systems.

    flexible layout

The façade adopts a minimalist material paletteexposed concrete, aluminum, glass, and natural wood — creating a dialogue between texture and transparency. A play of solid and void generates depth, while vertical fins and cantilevered slabs provide shading and visual rhythm.

    flexible layout

The interior aesthetic continues the external narrative — neutral tones, uncluttered forms, and layered textures. Spatial drama is achieved through double-height volumes, floating staircases, and diffused natural light filtering through skylights and vertical slits. Custom furniture and integrated storage maintain the purity of spaces, ensuring visual calm and coherence.

Living & Dining Area: Volume and Light

The heart of the home—its open living and dining space—showcases refined minimalism. Clean lines and neutral tones provide a canvas for vibrant blue furniture and warm wood accents.

    flexible layout

Full-height curtains frame the large window, where a cascading chandelier draws the eye upward, celebrating verticality and natural light. Subtle ceiling recesses and indirect lighting elevate the space with architectural finesse.

    flexible layout

Each element of this residence speaks to an architectural philosophy that values both aesthetic rigor and human experience. From bold material contrasts to soft spatial transitions, the design invites an immersive dialogue between form and function, luxury and livability.

    Bedroom Oasis: Curves and Calm

Soft, sculptural forms dominate the bedroom space, where padded surfaces and rounded contours enhance a sense of comfort and luxury.

The creamy beige palette is offset by a muted olive-green side table and subtle wall reliefs, adding dimension without distraction. This space epitomizes a serene elegance, designed for restorative rest in a cocoon of warmth.

    Bathroom Sanctuary: Geometry in Motion

The bathroom transforms into a sculptural retreat with the bold use of green-toned marble and hexagonal stone tiles. The juxtaposition of organic veining with the precise geometry of the hexagons creates a space that is both grounded and dynamic.

Wall-to-wall stone detailing, coupled with seamless fixtures and a rain shower, provides a spa-like immersion—merging natural opulence with contemporary restraint.

Project Spotlight: A Symphony of Texture, Light, and Form

In this exceptional residential interior, architecture meets artistry through a masterful interplay of surfaces, textures, flexible layout and spatial composition. Each room unfolds as a deliberate experience, carefully crafted to evoke both elegance and ease.

    Design Statement

This 10,000 sq. ft. modern residence with flexible layout redefines minimalism as a luxury of clarity and proportion rather than excess. Through a restrained palette, sculpted light, and spatial openness, the design creates an atmosphere of serenity — a timeless home that celebrates simplicity as sophistication.
