This Contemporary Farmhouse Style Home Blends Local Charm With Modern Luxury | Studio Maroon
The facade exhibits a blend of natural stone finishes, inclusive of polished to lappatro Jaisalmer stone, along with marble chip textures. Additionally, a gabion boundary wall adds aesthetics as well as adds to the structure, complementing the natural surroundings of the place.
This farmhouse embraces a centrally concentrated approach. Moreover, it seamlessly integrates a country vibe into the landscape while offering amenities like a gymnasium.
The farmhouse layout creates a cozy ambiance. The entrance features Jaisalmer stone steps and imposing vertical columns supporting a gabled roof.
The house opens with a magnificent teak wood entrance that opens into a double-height drawing room with leather furnishings and a flex stone wall. Furthermore, it links it to the sunken lobby space.
A stunning chandelier illuminates the sunken sitting area, which connects seamlessly to a dining hall at the heart of an imperial staircase.
The majestic staircase, with chess pawn-inspired railings made of exquisitely carved black stone, leads to the first-floor lobby.
The main floor includes a drawing room, a sunken lobby, a dining area, a kitchen, and two bedrooms: the master bedroom and the parents’ bedroom, for the convenience of both the young couple and the elderly.
The double-height square living area creates a perfect space for private gatherings, connecting seamlessly to the kitchen, dining area, drawing room, and two bedrooms with access to the verandas. A pair of staircases with natural stone finishes connects the entire sunken living area to the first floor.
There are three bedrooms on the first floor: a guest bedroom, a daughter’s bedroom, and a son’s bedroom. There is also a giant bull’s eye window in the hallway with Jaisalmer stone cladding. Moreover, it adds a beautiful splash of colour to the interior.
The marble railing, designed to resemble a chessboard, creates a regal appearance. The elevated, stepped entrance opens into a massive, double-height drawing room that seamlessly connects to the sunken living space.
Kadappa stone with brass inlay work creates a naturally rustic feel for the flooring. Yellow Jaisalmer stone completes the facade, adding variation and a rich range of textures. The Gabion boundary wall ensures endurance, durability, and stability. Thus, making it a reliable structure while also serving as an attractive fence.
This structure embraces experimentation by using a diverse material palette. Additionally, it features various types of sandstone like Basalt stone, Jaisalmer stone, Kadappa stone, Cosmic Fantasy stone, Makrana stone mosaic, and Dholpur red sandstone. Moreover, it showcases multiple finishes, including laptro, sandblast, glossy, river-sand, leather, and micro sanding. Thus, creating a dynamic and textured design.
In addition to the use of these sandstones and floor treatments, the pitched roof finished in shingles and various wall finishes accentuate the collaborative nature of this space.
