The Fort House by SPAN Architects embodies the fusion of regionalism with modern sensibilities. Drawing inspiration from the fortified walls of traditional forts, the design asserts a monumental architecture facade that celebrates solidity and materiality. Set within a gated township in Indore, India, the residence stands as a pastiche of traditional fort architecture reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.
Editor’s Note: The Fort House by SPAN Architects carries a quiet strength, where tradition and modernity find harmony. Its spaces flow effortlessly, bathed in shifting light, evoking a sense of belonging. Rooted yet timeless, the home feels less like a statement and more like a story, one of warmth, elegance, and enduring grace. ~Isha Bora
