Described by Sona Reddy as a “monolithic structure interspersed with fenestrations of breeze blocks,” the exterior is both contemporary and functional. These strategically placed porous segments, particularly on the southern and western fronts, contribute to climate responsiveness by facilitating natural ventilation and light, allowing the building to “almost respire in real-time.” The varied shapes and sizes of the openings on the façade create an engaging visual effect, enhancing both the exterior appeal and the dynamic quality of the interiors.

The residence is complemented by a sprawling lawn surrounded by lush vegetation, serving as a tranquil transition from the urban setting to the serene interiors.
This green space not only frames the entry path but also provides a peaceful venue for social gatherings, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor living.
The thoughtful landscape design underscores the connection to nature, adding a layer of harmony to the overall living experience.
Upon entering, visitors encounter interiors that diverge from the Brutalist exterior, incorporating vernacular references infused with contemporary touches. A curated art collection enlivens the neutral backdrop while highlighting the luxurious and layered decor.
The basement is particularly noteworthy, featuring grand arches that offer glimpses of a shimmering pool and coffered ceilings. Natural light streams in through carefully planned openings, bathing the interiors in warmth and adding a sense of comfort.
This juxtaposition of traditional and modern design creates an aesthetic that is both timeless and current. Neutral tones serve as a canvas for the vibrant artwork and decor pieces, imbuing each room with character.
Each level presents unique design elements while maintaining cohesion, offering framed views of the outdoors that integrate nature with indoor spaces.
Ascending to the upper floors, the home continues to showcase thoughtfully placed fenestrations that generate dynamic light patterns, enhancing the depth and interest of the interiors.
Staircases throughout the home are standout features. The entrance hall features a sculptural floating railing that melds form and function, while another staircase reveals a three-dimensional volume cleverly concealing structural components, set against cement walls with an unbroken veneered handrail.
The use of natural materials like cane and wood, accented with soft blush and ochre paint, adds warmth and character. This thoughtful selection of materials fosters a fluid transition between spaces while reinforcing the sense of comfort and luxury.
