The sentiment of togetherness is conceptualised the best way by Shreesh Design Studio LLP in this luxe house and has executed it with brimming affection. ‘The Luxe Wave,’ as so appropriately named, is a residential haven located in the warm arms of a homely neighborhood in Rajkot, Gujarat. The coming together of familial bonding and contemporary design is signified in the milieu of the house, right from the first impression. Pieced together for a pair of brothers and their families, the structure arises in four levels with a concrete and brick skin. The inspiration for the wave came from the desire to display the warmth and rich character that the family had. The organic nature of the wave signifies free flow to break free from the conventional elevation treatment of right angles.
Editor’s Note: “The Luxe Wave” is a celebration of familial warmth, seamlessly blending contemporary elegance with intimate togetherness. Each space radiates a sense of harmony, where light and design flow effortlessly, creating an atmosphere of comfort, sophistication, and personal connection. This home is not just a residence, but a living, breathing expression of unity and grace. ~ Isha Bora
The Luxe House Captures Affection an Togetherness | Shreesh Design Studio LLP
The treated fenestration features a play of concave surfaces on every alternate floor, engaging the eyes and allowing a dynamic interplay of light and shadow to unfold naturally on the surface. Additionally, the earthy tone of the bricks fosters a serene atmosphere, complementing the spacious balconies on each floor. Furthermore, the luxe design dedicates two floors of the house to each client, creating duplexes interconnected by a staircase. Both levels follow a unified design language, seamlessly integrating all the spaces.
The ground floor accommodates a covered parking area, providing access to the utility area in the middle, storage space at the back, and a unit for vertical circulation, including a lift. Meanwhile, the design positions the common areas towards the main face of the building. Additionally, it places the bedrooms at the rear end, ensuring both privacy and functional organization.
The family room leads through a petite foyer, which is bathed in the warmth of soft rays passing through the blinds. Additionally, accents of wood are scattered around the room.
The ceiling of the living room observes a difference in levels. Furthermore, the entertainment unit is in an uncomplicated color palette of white and veneer with a seamless ceiling. Additionally, a nook on the wall adjacent to it has a puja room separated through a wooden frame door but connected by the punchers and complete transparency. Moreover, the entire area is in a visual sync, an aesthetic harmony that sets the tone for the entire house.
Over the seating area, the object d’art is the vaulted ceiling layered in unfiltered white. Additionally, the grey tint of the couches embraces the C-shaped design of the room, forming a complete monochromatic palette. The black and white marble cladding at the back introduces an element of drama, making a bold statement.
The vaulted ceiling subtly introduces a surprising element, following the curvilinear ideology. Additionally, a custom partition separates the living area from the dining space. Moreover, the custom-shaped flaps are movable, offering a dynamic and wholesome experience for the residents.
The dining area is a double-height space, enriched by the stream of light from the windows and wooden slits above the table. This design not only enhances the lighting experience but also contributes to an elemental and harmonious atmosphere.
The wall art indulges in an interplay of shapes and geometry, remaining minimal in appearance. Meanwhile, the kitchen and open wash area continue with the beige selection, maintaining a cohesive color scheme. Furthermore, the first floor houses a bedroom located right by the internal staircase.
The structural framework of the stairwell bodes well with a simplistic yet impressionable design state. It doesn’t give off the vibe of a heavy design insert and the double-height window brings a touch of airiness and openness. Additionally, the window accommodates the light fixture gracefully, further enhancing the overall ambience.
Over to the second level, the floor accommodates three bedrooms. The master bedroom makes a bold statement with its black-veined marble and medium-toned veneer. The bed faces the wallpaper-clad TV unit
The guest bedroom exudes positive energy with a bed back that spans its width, forming a semi-circular grooming pattern in concentric layers. Facing the bed, a study area is adorned with a chocolate-colored covering.
The kids’ bedroom is furnished in playful shapes and light colors. Additionally, pastels of light pink and blue dominate the walls and lined shapes, interspersed with wallpaper, making the space both homely and personal for the kids.
The concept of adding a personal touch is evident in every design aspect of the luxe house. From the carefully selected color palettes to the thoughtfully incorporated decor elements, the Luxe Wave embodies a distinct identity that is elegantly portrayed throughout. Moreover, each detail has been meticulously curated to create a space that exudes sophistication and individuality.
