  • This Modern House Exterior Design Considers Both the Climate and Site | Kalajeet Architects

Ananta was a typical modern house exterior design that effectively addressed both climate and site considerations at once. A rectangular plot of 3725 square feet, facing north, is located in the western part of Ahmedabad.

The main prerequisite of the Client was to create a grand and inviting entrance, ensuring that their modern house exterior design is prominently visible from the moment one enters through the society gate. Clients want their dream home with zero compromise on functionality and aesthetics. Their requirement was four bedrooms with living, dining, kitchen, and all necessary amenities.

    Exterior Facade

The exterior facade of this bungalow design exemplifies meticulous planning, aimed at offering visitors a warm and inviting welcome. With its strategic arrangement and carefully crafted design, the facade is divided into three distinct setbacks, creating an expansive and inviting entryway. This design choice not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also ensures a harmonious balance between functionality and visual appeal.

    Modern House Exterior Design

By extending a generous cone of vision, the elevation ensures that the house is prominently visible from the moment one approaches through the society gate. These setbacks serve as intentional transition points, guiding the observer’s gaze inward and seamlessly connecting the exterior and interior spaces. This deliberate approach not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also fosters a sense of continuity throughout the residence.

    Vastu Compliance

Moreover, the entire house is meticulously planned in accordance with Vaastu compliance, further emphasising attention to detail and ensuring a holistic approach to design and functionality. We opted for earthy tones to enhance the beauty of the house.

The ground floor features a spacious living area, Pooja space, dining space, kitchen, powder room, and a master bedroom equipped with a walk-in wardrobe and toilet. The first floor features a spacious multipurpose room with a bed, a master bedroom, and a guest bedroom equipped with a walk-in wardrobe and toilet.

    Modern House Exterior Design

We’ve meticulously ensured that every corner of the building is well-ventilated, paying special attention to creating a comfortable and airy environment throughout. Upon entering the building through the north-facing entry, one encounters a double-height buffer space with Pooja space that seamlessly connects the two floors, leading directly to the living room. Our main priority was the living room, where we aimed to establish a warm and inviting atmosphere.

    Rustic Charm

The space exuded a rustic charm, characterized by the seamless blending of natural tones and textures. Earthy hues were predominantly employed, creating a captivating contrast that enhanced the overall ambiance.

Furthermore, the folded plate metal and wood staircase stands out as a key attraction in the house, blending contemporary design with natural elements to create a striking visual centrepiece. Its unique folded plate construction combines sleek metal lines with warm wooden accents, offering both modern elegance and timeless appeal.

    Modern House Exterior Design

As the focal point of the home, this staircase not only serves its functional purpose but also adds a touch of architectural artistry, inviting admiration and appreciation from all who enter. We provide them fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, complemented by a cozy breakfast nook and dining table for delightful meals together.

    Modern House Exterior Design

    Warmth and Elegance

The simple bedroom for the elderly couple is characterized by warmth and elegance. Oak wood veneer wall panelling brings a natural beauty to the space. Thus, contrasting beautifully with a plush grey fabric bed that serves as the room’s focal point.

Crisp white walls enhance the room’s airiness, while large windows invite ample natural light, creating a serene ambiance. Soft, neutral bedding and textured accents like knitted throws and fluffy pillows add comfort and coziness. Moreover, a comfortable seating area by the window provides a peaceful spot for relaxation or reading.

    Modern House Exterior Design

    First Floor

On the first floor, we designed the master bedroom with an Indian traditional theme, featuring minimal furniture and pastel color tones. Ample natural light illuminates the space, making it perfect for a young couple in their villa.

In the guest bedroom, we used various shades of grey to craft a paneling effect that extends to the ceiling beside the bed, creating a welcoming and stylish ambiance.

On the first floor, we feature a versatile home theatre cum bedroom, designed for multipurpose use. A low-height bed enhances the theatre experience, while vibrant colours paired with teak wood create a comfortable ambiance.

We kept the furniture design very simple and neat, giving the house an overall experience of calmness and soulfulness.
