A Minimalist Aesthetic Where Nordic Design Blends With Wood And Brick | Studio Archaic

The entrance represents a minimalist aesthetic where the starkness of Nordic design blends with organic wood panels and brick feature walls. The exterior feature wall uses a blend of geometrical patterns created with vertical and angular lines. A small garden bordering the edges and wall sconces mitigates the massive monolith-like feature while highlighting the design.

Design Strategy

The entire Nordic Industrial office design maximises the use of light and space. Every cabin is furnished with a seamless desk and storage area. The neutral colour palette on the furnishings and walls offers a warm and organic feel to the space. This blends with the natural light streaming in from the windows.

The clean geometric lines create a sense of organization and discipline generating an environment for enhanced focus and productivity. Coloured wood panels pop through the desk space to add an element of interest. Thus giving each cabin space a stamp of individuality.

Triangular Motif

The triangular motif is carried through the main office in the laminate pattern of the table, chair design, and feature piece on the desk.

The neutral and warm colour tones continue in the furnishings and floral highlights. The exterior feature wall offers a shield of privacy for the interior cabins. Thereby allowing light and access to exterior views.

Spacious Seating

The main office features a spacious seating area that represents the green theme running through the work space. Wide and comfortable sofas in shades of mint reflect the hues of nature punctuating the corners of the office.

The designers chose a center table in an organic shape and highlighted it with flower-shaped décor accents to generate an inside-outside feel.

Neutral Shades

The individual offices border a common central working space imagined as a continuous table with comfortable chairs that allow easy communication and collaboration. The neutral shades reflect in the furnishings, with vertical panels on the desk fronts and ceilings continuing the design theme of the space.

Azure blue side panels to tables and accents bordering the top tie in the colour scheme of the entire workspace, adding vibrancy while also lending a calming effect. A wide aisle between desks allows for easy passage through the space without making it crowded.

Reception Area

The designers placed the reception area adjacent to a large entrance door that leads directly into the foyer. The foyer features a massive wall-size marble accent tying in the exterior with the interiors, giving a luxe feel to the space. A seamless blue and silver front panel at the reception desk hides the storage and seating area, giving the space a neat look. A screen for CCTV is installed on the opposite wall, allowing the desk manager to easily observe the functioning of the space.

A meeting or conference room borders the central wall of the workspace. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls offset the space, offering a spacious and comfortable setting for separate discussions without cutting off from the larger workspace. This allows a creative blending of privacy and transparency in the work approach of the company.

A blue-and-white wall inlay feature breaks the monotony of the neutral shade with matching desk palettes on the corner desks. The soft shades are chosen to maximize the perception of light and space.

Seamless Facade

Ample lighting, soft accent features, and seamless facades of work spaces and storage units allow the design to blend discipline with interest, reflecting a workspace that encourages productivity and creativity in equal parts. The clean lines and colour palette offer a calming work ambience, while shades of wood and green create an impression of proximity to nature within an industrial area.

The warm yellow light sconces placed strategically on the exterior façade and entrance walls generate a soft glow that not only offers ample light after dark but also highlights the symmetry and aesthetic of the design theme.
