This recently completed bungalow is a 3 storey building, which is a testament to both thoughtful design and remarkable efficiency. The architects prioritized solar orientation to bathe the interior in natural light and promote natural ventilation. Strategically placed skylights and exterior pergolas further orchestrate a captivating play of light and shadow throughout the day, adding a dynamic element to each space.
Editor’s Note: “The Indian Contemporary theme of this abode in Vadodara with the integration of natural materials like wood, wicker, and plants embraces aesthetics and functionality. Every design element, meticulously personalized, breathes warmth and elegance into the space. Plush furnishings, cane furniture, and a stately wooden ceiling evoke a sense of modern luxury, creating a sanctuary where comfort and sophistication harmoniously converge.” ~Simran Khare
This 3 Storey Building Bathes In Natural Light By Prioritizing Solar Orientation | Studio A Plus S
The interior adheres to a strict minimalist palette, allowing the architecture to take center stage. Kota stone flooring provides a grounding natural element, while textured white walls offer a clean canvas for the interplay of light.
Furniture, crafted from warm wood and rich veneers, injects a touch of elegance without compromising the overarching minimalist aesthetic. This project proves that minimalism can co-exist with luxury, creating a space that is both sophisticated and inviting.
The floor plan embraces a sense of spatial continuity through open living areas. Walls are used judiciously, maximizing visual connectivity between different zones.
The central fabricated staircase acts as a sculptural centerpiece, drawing the eye upwards and emphasizing the verticality of the space. This seamless flow contributes to the overall feeling of light and airiness.
Perhaps most impressive is the project’s rapid completion. The entire bungalow, from foundation to finished interior, was completed in a remarkable eleven months.
This achievement highlights the successful collaboration between architect and interior designers, their efficient use of materials, and spatial planning, leading to timely execution.
The minimalist theme extends to the exterior as well. The sleek facade, featuring a play of volumes clad in fluted precast concrete panels, reflects the interior’s clean lines.
This cohesive approach creates a sense of simple elegance, where form and function seamlessly intertwine. This three-story bungalow is a perfect example of how minimalist design can deliver a striking and sophisticated living environment, all within a remarkably efficient timeframe.
All three bedrooms prioritize natural light, incorporating strategically placed windows and skylights for optimal illumination.
The skylights feature integrated pergolas, creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow in the first-floor bedrooms.
Textured wall treatments further enhance the play of natural and artificial light, adding visual interest to the space. Minimalist teak furniture selections promote a sense of spaciousness and elegance in each bedroom. The overall design fosters a calming and restorative atmosphere, ideal for relaxation.
