The Moroccan Style Design Terrace with a Blend of Indian Touch | espacioLINES

The Inspiration for this project was the Moroccan style design terrace with a blend of Indian touch of glamour.  i.e. use of metal structures with lighting and Moroccan tiles with stone bench finish.

“A terrace” is a place where the indoor meets the outdoor, a relaxation space a personal gateway of fresh air and connection to nature. It’s a palace to unwind and be creative. It helps us embrace freedom and discover the endless possibilities. The same is further reflected in the design language for this outdoor sanctuary.

Design Concept

We designed the seating gazebo on the Moroccan-style design terrace corner to redefine comfort and style. We positioned the gazebo against the wall of the terrace parapet.

Hence, the continuous sitting provided a cozy gathering vibe for the group parties. With a series of pergolas raised above, it provides nice shading patterns during the sundowner parties.

Further, the use of the marble stone for the sitting makes a style statement in the terrace area.

The metal center tipois serve for serving and utility purposes. However, we grounded the design concept on a modern approach, emphasizing lighting as the key feature element, given the space’s intended frequent use after evenings.

Floating Lighting Effect

The steps with floating lighting effect, acts as an intermediate division between the terrace space and the raised gazebo. Thus, the floating light effect of the steps makes the gazebo area very well defined.

Flooring Pattern

The colored and patterned floor tiles contribute to the vibrancy of the place, which we intended to be a weekend party destination or a gathering and socializing spot for the client.

The tied up cables which are a design element also acts as a safety barrier for small kids stepping up on the sitting bench.

The plantation thriving on the terrace is however, a sign that even nature is happy. This terrace hence, has been the best place for the client to find peace in this chaotic world. Moreover, T=the young kids (two sons) of the client love to hang out in the space and have their private play time around nature.

Terrace Gazebo

The terrace gazebo on the 14th floor stands proud, visible from the main road below. Moreover, the night time lighting gives a genuinely glamorous vibe to the space. Since, our rooftop lover clients discovered that this place was a dream come true.

During the wee hours, this place also provides for the work from home vibe. To just sit on a laptop with a cup of coffee and have a creative meeting session too.

The clients, being party lovers, aimed to develop this space to wow each visitor with its ambiance. A kind of vibe which woos all eyes and not a specific particular style.

Moreover, with the use of vibrant color in the flooring and patterned tiles as highlighter in the deck area, we had segregated the 2 spaces. This is where the open terrace part is often a play zone for the 2 kids .
