  • Office 030 Engages All Users To The Interiors Creating A Good Working Atmosphere | 20^2 Studio

“In the spirit of purposeful and fulfilling work environments, this industrial structure has an incredible feeling of rustic and natural faces. Angled roof let in the much lively light, while the elemental greens and furniture are a one-of-a-kind setup.”- Nishal Sevak(Co-Editor)

Celebrating it’s architectural material potential against its industrial setting, this office seems to display raw material palette eventually reducing the construction cost and thereby creating a sustainable foot- print. Office 030, a commercial1400 sq.ft workspace in Coimbatore, uses interlocking bricks for load bearing walls and pile foundations to create a column less skeleton.

Adding a corner window breaks the entire mass complimenting the light shelf resonating with the materials of the roof. The entrance porch was intentionally tilted inviting users to the space.

The central courtyard which is sandwiched by the head cabin and pantry, showers in beautiful daylight to the entire space revealing the green pocket wherever the user is.

Approach to the interior of the office is directed by shaping the volume upon entering the porch, leaving you to an industrial huge sliding metal door. The lounge housing a soft reception counter a planter and materials resonating with the rest of the office. The open shelf behaves as a screen partially.

The pantry designed to suit the simple needs of the user visually connecting breakfast counter to the tree court.

The most quirky part of the office is the pantry with fabricated shelf, mirror laminate and 4pods furniture.

Workspace emphasizing on the in-house built modular tables were designed with small side storage for 6 pax. The head cabin personifying its significance through its location in the entire zone, linked visibly to all other spaces

Breaking from the available stereotypical planters, these were custom made to suit the needs.

Open shelving to break the full height storage in the head cabin, eventually getting a part of exterior workspace.

Neutral palette with accents of green marble, wood and plants elevates the space. In addition to it, there is a separate janitor shelf as a part of ledge wall. Concrete sink was custom made to vibe with the existing raw palette, emphasizing green marble accents for the suspended countertop.

The perforated shelf accentuated with neutral toned objects. The entrance porch signifying the signage sitting on a contrast exposed finished surface.
